Hi there,

I have been an avid fan of games by impressions since 1997. I must say that I felt much disappointment when Impressions folded. I thought that the city building series would have also folded with Impressions. News of Caesar IV was a very pleasant suprise to say the least. :)

My main question to the developers is this:Now that there actually is a partnership to produce Caesar IV, will there be attempts to continue on the Lords series as well? it looks faesible.

Thanks!!!!

will there be attempts to continue on the Lords series as well? it looks feasible.

I loved the first two installments of Lords of the Realm, but I was very disappointed with Lords of the Realm 3.

Methinks "a certain someone" was missing from III :D

* hint: he went off to start his own company *

Fact 1:

Lords of the Realm™
Release Date: 12/31/1994
Art Director: Chris Beatrice

Fact 2:

Lords of the Realm II™
Release Date: 10/31/1996
Art Director; Level & Interface Designer: Chris Beatrice

Fact 3:

Lords of the Realm III™
Release Date: 3/16/2004
Lead Designer, Project Lead & Director of Development: Chris Beatrice through 9/2001

I loved the first two installments of Lords of the Realm, but I was very disappointed with Lords of the Realm 3.

Huh... no wonder I have such a hard time with Lords 3.... the first two I love... but the third.. something seems off in it to me, and I'm not sure what it is...

It is revealing that the gamespot community rating of LoRII was 8.3, but for LoRIII it was only 5.7.

Lords3 was a huge disappointment. There were a bunch of features that would have been great had they been expanded upon, but ultimately, they just felt like they were tacked on at the last minute. I bought it, played it, and shelved it all on the same week. Lasted only a few days on my hard drive. I probably didn't give it much of a chance, but I just didn't like it. ;) I *might* try to give it another chance though.

One thing I'm really hoping for is a sequel to "Lords of Magic." :)

For those who don't know me I want to add this. Yes, I AM a "Medieval fanatic" !!! It is my passion, so what else can be said?!

I don't know Phil, but I'm sure somebody will think of something :D

I tried Lords of the realm III, but I was not able to master it. Iv like the idea but not how it is realized.

Good thread Phil, I would LOVE to see a Lords of the Realm 4. I feel that end result of Lords 3 was not even close to what the original guys (Fiske,Beatrice, etc) had in mind. I find Lords 3 fun to play, but I agree, we want a REAL successor to Lords 2.

You never know what might happen, I never thought I would see a Caesar 4 :D

Are you people hinting that even though I was not real enthused over Realms 3, I might be happier if I can dig up either or both of the previous two in the series?
