A marketing Concept.

Not sure how feasible to carry out but, A Limited Edition DVD version of the game could include a real genuine Roman Coin. Some well worn roman coins cost less than $5 to aquire and could help sell a cost plus (more expensive) version of the game. Many of the die hard fans might shell out a few extra bucks for the making of Caesar IV documentaries and additional materials if it enclosed a real coin. (Certificate of Authenticity please) A modern duplicate of a roman coin could be included in the regular version (but probably not necessary). Even better would be selling the Limited edition for the first few weeks and introducing the regular edition after most of the Limiteds sold out.

Or even better would be If the direct from TiltedMill Limited Edition (Only available from TiltedMill online) included the Authentic Roman coin when shipped. Let EBGames and BestBuy have a modern duplicate.

I think Tilted Mill would get the Middleman portion of sales as well as Vendor portion. Keeping you guys well fed and happy would keep most of the fanbase happy - as I see it anyway.

such a venture also has to be lucrative. to be lucrative, a big fan base must already be in place which might be willing to buy the special package. strategy gamers are few but hey, i'm a coin collector.

My third comment of the game being sold at the Tilted Mill website could be lucrative for those who really count... The Development Team!!

Could even have have a short video being downloaded to the purchaser of a triumphant parade through Rome in their honor.

Senators with faces of the Devs waving at the sucessful purchaser as they ride by in a chariot.

Animators as slaves pulling the chariot. (Sorry Ladies and Gents but I'm a Character Animator (Maya) ... and I know how it feels)

Or a reproduction (Would the demand for several thousand real coins drive up TMs acquisition price significantly ??? We live in the age of Ebay where the latest 'Sucker Price' often becomes the 'Expected' Selling Price).
