View Full Version : Terrain Clay Sprites

I have read several threads regarding the clay sprites but I still do not understand what they do. Do they actually produce clay? Do I have to still go to resources and put in clay?

By what I know, clay sprites are needed for clay. But i'm unsure if the resource works... Well, if you want to test either options, simply make your scenario, and create a potter and 'test' it. If the potter's husband gathers clay, then it exists. Otherwise, it doesn't. But I still think the sprite is needed.

Once you have placed the sprite you can leave it alone. The sprite is the clay deposit.

BTW, You can place this sprite anywhere. Not just by the water.

Unless your forum name is King faticus, if it is then Clay will never appear no matter how you place it or how hard you try... also won't appear when testing:(

2) Clay
Remember the bands of red mud texture we painted in Lesson 2? I cover these areas with the clay deposit sprite. Keep in mind that these sprites are invisible. You can see where you have placed them by drag-boxing over an area. The rings without sprites in them are where you have placed clay. See the pic below for an example of this <Clay.jpg>.

I may not be as bad off as King Faticus but it seems to me that no matter how many clay sprites I put in the people needing clay seem to congregate in certain spots and ignore the others.

Anyway thanks for all the info I appreciate it. :D
