PUBLIC Poll, multiple choice !!!
:D :D :D
Oh, there is only One Rule: C3 is not C4 & C4 doesn't exist yet. Don't even think about it.
(This might be in the wrong place, Jeremy, but I refuse to put it in the Outside World. Move it at your pleasure, but you have to vote first! :p)

I had to desperately run off to work (yeah I was late) & hoped I would find this issue resolved.
I expected to see a followup post by Launcelot.
Well, Launcelot? Am I more insane than the votes suggest or did you change your vote?
PS ~ Both options could be true! :D

I may have made an assumption, a wrong conclusion based on faulty data & observations & nothing is wrong with polls, Jeremy. :o
I await a followup post from Launcelot.

I decided to take this poll seriously. I looked up the definition of cultist.
A member of a cult.
Definition of Cult (#5)
a : great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (as a film or book); especially : such devotion regarded as a literary or intellectual fad b : a usually small group of people characterized by such devotion
Based on the above I voted for only one category simply because I consider the others to be intelligent, reasonable, sane, followers of an excellent game. Voting for all of them in my not so humble opinion defeats the purpose of a poll. Obviously I am so far the only sane person voting. :p

My dumb question for today (and one I have wondered about for a while), and notwithstanding the definition given above, but what is a cultist supposed to mean in the context of a single game??? I adored Caesar the original when it first came out but it wouldn't cross my mind to play it now for anything other than 15 minutes of curiousity value. And I feel the same whay about Caesar 2 and 3 these days. How can one slavishly devote oneself to a single game when the standard for games continues to advance so rapidly? How does this poll differ from the previous one where we voted for our favourite city building game?

That's why I made a fuss about c3 not being c2.... Md should have asked if I was a Caesar Series fan;)

Man, y'all are weird. I click to open the thread, I see only the question, "Who are the biggest cultists?"
Which *my* mind took as the religions of the peoples in the games. I voted based on which game I thought had the most gods...not on which has the most loyal fanbase. :p
A great game is a great game, no matter it's age, going on topic. Very few games stand the test of time, yet almost every game this team of guys have made, are well known, and fondly remembered, even for their quirks and bugs at times. There are many older games that stand out in my mind as some of the best I've ever played to this day, and some I will fire up when bored, it's like visiting an old friend.
Are modern graphics "prettier"? Usually, but it's content, not graphics that make a game. How well it hooked you when you played it. How often you still think back on it. I've played so many games I've forgotten half of them. The good ones, are never forgotten, but neither are the true worst either. lol
