View Full Version : Two VERY important questions (for me)
Do you know if
1) Buildings will upgrade as in Caesar III
2) Roads will have some impact on the distribution system, and not just a planning tools (again like in Caesar III)
Unfortunately I found that as strategic game CotN is much less interesting. There is simply less to plan and the city itself is static (buildings are not upgrading)
So, does anyone know if those things are included into the game?

1. Probably
Edit: I found a new preview that says that some buildings will evolve one or two levels. http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3149777
2. We don't know yet.
There hasn't been that kind of information made public yet.
We do know that roads between cities and towns let the share things like hospitals though. That was just mentioned in the latest info.

I Know that houses evolve from reviews I read and prom pictures I saw, don't know about anything else though....
as for roads I think they do have some importance, in one of the reviews it said that two villages that aren't connected by roads won't share benifits from buildings (but that's just what keith said in different words)
Thank for replies guys. From 1up link
As the lower classes upgrade their homes, you can see them build up from their base home to one up to two tiers better; the patrician class has eight available upgrades from its beginning home.
Let's hope that it is more significant that noble houses upgrades in CotN.
And roads, Roads ROADS! Roman empire was build on roads!
