I want to know whether we can see lights coming out from the windows at night??Or it just a pitch black or just dark and the buildings also like that??I don't know whether there are any picture shows that the building have lights from windows and I can only see that there are no lights coming out from the windows in the new picture.Or maybe it just not late enough??
Thanks:)

We have wondered about this before and thought it would be a good idea if at least some of the buildings had light for short time. Then again you have to figure that the time is compressed in the game, and the duration of night is not going to be very long. In CotN night was much shorter than the day time period. The day period might last serval minutes while the night period was over in less than 30 seconds (depending on the speed you played your game at.)
I don't think people left light burning all night....it's a fire hazard. So if they only burned lamps for a few hours of real time and with the time compression used those lights wold probably just be blink on and off in the game.

The video with broll_ in the url has rain/snow & it looks like no building lights.
The video with broll2_ looks like it covers a day/night cycle (after the Estate evolution sequence) & also shows no building lights. But this is really hard to draw conclusions from. Night is very short & perhaps cut out.
Another SWAG
As of when these videos were created. ;)

As I know the time for night period is depends on the season.(If I had not mistaken)Just like north pole, a half year don't have sunshine and the other half year don't have night. And maybe the night in C4 also like that.Even the night in C4 is only maybe 8 hours gametime, but at least 1 or 2 hours gametime have lights coming out from the windows because that time they haven't sleep and the other time just like 8 pm or 9 pm they already sleep(because they don't have anything to do at night and they need to work early in the morning)because it is impossible that during roman time they don't have any house have candles??and maybe here is a new industry---candle.If they dont have light, maybe the important buildings have lights like senate, palace....
Thanks:)

I'm just guessing that the day/night cycle in Caesar IV will be somewhat similar to CotN's day/night cycle. If it is, it's probably not worth doing.
It would be nice little effect, but it might be so small that they probably won't do it.
There are so many other small effects that they could do but probably won't. For instance, actual smoke rising from places like weapons shops, etc. Baths were heated by fire stoked furnaces and probably produced some smoke as well.
I dont think they are going to adjust the day/night cycle to coincide with the seasons for more or less of one or the other as it is in the real life. It would be an interesting subtle effect that most people probably wouldn't notice right off.

I saw some smoke on the pottery industry so it is also very detail but if there are lights coming out from the window will be very nice because it makes the city "alive" and if all buildings don't have lights, the city is so quiet and looks like no people living inside it.They don't need all buildings have lights, maybe the rich people have lights on their house because they have money to buy candles.
Thanks:)
