I was wondering: Does Caesar IV support dualcores?
(Not that I own one, I was just curious :) )

Ive wondered this also, i had asked about it before the demo but no one could answer.

If i get time (which I may not as i have a move and am starting a new job) but if i do i might try running some tests on the lowest graphics settings wif the game restricted to only using 1 core, then try again with it using both and see if theres a difference.

I don't know, but I kind of doubt it. At least not directly. It will probably run and you may see an performance boost, but it probably doesn't have dual core support programmed in.

From what others have said in regards to other games not made to utilize dual core processors it seems like there is a noticable difference in performance. With one core performing basic tasks (running windows, background processes, etc..) the other core is free for gaming and/or other tasks. A friend of mine bought a dual core laptop and was running Oblivion flawlessly while downloading a (legally purchased :D ) game from the internet. Never had one stutter, freeze, or really any problem whatsoever. I believe it was an Intel Core Duo 2500 (which is 2.0 Ghz IIRC) with 1 gig RAM and an Nvidia 7x00 128mb. To me, that's damn impressive and encouraging as well. :D
