C4DotNetReg.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.
This is the error i get everytime I try to start a new game, it comes up twice which after a runtime error comes up.
I have tried everything suggested on the boards, including re-installing Framework.Net, installing updates, disabling firewalls etc.
This is by far the first game or demo i have had this many problems to run it.
I can't see it being a driver issue cos every other pogram or game on my computer is running perfectly!
Can someone please Help, as it is driving me insaneeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Keith i need your help...
Attached is my Dxdiag:

Hi Phil,
Thnx for the quick response.:)
I have updated my sound card drivers and have over 2gig of hard drive space but still no luck:(
When i start a new game i hear sound from the game...but that is when the application error comes up.
Too me it sounds like a framework.Net issue, because even when i double click on the RegisterDLL.bat file i get the same error as in the first post but with RegAsm.exe application error and two of these come up...one for the RomeScriptInterfaces.dll file and one for the ScriptServer.dll file.
Like this:
11046
I have unistalled framework.Net and cleaned out the registry and re-installed without any luck.
Why does this game need framework.Net anyway?
Here's my new Dxdiag:
11047
Hoping there is a solution as i am so keen 2 check the game out!:)

You don't have enough free space on C drive to run anything at all. Windows needs more room than that to move files around (windows likes 20% free space). The space you have available would be used by the page file. You need to make room on C drive if you want to play this demo.

Trust me i have over 2gigs of space and every other game and program runs fine... Prey, Flatout 2, Half_life 2, Sin Episodes just 2 name a few.
Whats the verdict Phil?

Are you still having a problem getting NETFramework to install and register correctly?
If you cannot get it to install you may have to reinstall Windows, all the updates and NETFramework from scratch.
I had similar reports on the Sierra board (http://forums.vugames.com/thread.jspa?threadID=29275&tstart=0) and one person fixed his problem by doing just that.
The 0xc0000005 error message is related to a memory handling error on your system.
It could mean that your system is improperly attempting to open memory that is already free, or memory that is unavailable, or you may have a bad memory strip. Malware can also cause problems like this.
The D3D error you got may be due to your drivers. 91.36? People with Nvidia cards have fixed their in-game graphics problems by using a unofficial beta driver 91.33 from
http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_winxp_2k_32bit_91.33.html
But until you get NETFramework 2.0 installed and running that may not work.
When you run the ADD/REMOVE SOFTWARE utility in the Control Panel do you see more than one version of NETFramework listed?

Thnx for the info Keith.
The D3D error only comes up when i run it in Safe Mode. In normal mode the game still starts up at least!
And yeah i have several versions with updates etc...
11139
Can I uninstall the other versions?
I have already tried to unistall and reinstall version 2.0.

@ MrSmoov
I wouldn`t better not delete any of them.
Mind you............I have 5 entries of .NET-stuff

Unless you check it out with someone very familiar with NETFramework, I would leave them alone.
The oxc0000005 stop error indicates a memory handling problem of some type.
It is possible that you have a bad memory strip. You may want to test your memory with either memorytest86+ (http://www.memtest.org/) or Prime95 (http://www.mersenne.org/).

I'm having the same problem I've tried most of the above. I've tried downloading 2.2 and 2.0 2.0 from 2 different sites. Still nothing I have the ATI 9800 pro but I do have 3rd party drivers omega. I do have a lot of C++ librarys that a clean copy of windows wouldn't have probably, as i have a complier and other things. So I'd be thankful if you guys could keep looking into this.

@ shamelessmeat
I would suggest you try it with the official ATI-catalyst drivers instead of omega. Hardly anyone here uses omega so it is hard to say they are the cause of failure. But could be most likely.
It is a matter of trying.
Please attach your dxdiag for further looks :)

Your not going to like this answer but it's the heart of your problem. You do not have enough free space on C drive for windows to move files around let alone use the page file. No matter how many times you change drivers or anything else without free space for windows the game will not work. My suggestion is that you get files off your C drive in the amount of at least 20% of the drive space. It maybe as simple as cleaning out your temp files and IE history file or as complex as moving files to a cd/dvd.

@ shamelessmeat
mouse is right! Hardly room for a bird on C there. 5 more XP-updates and your pc-box bends out! :D :D
Besides:
optimize your page file
empty C/Temp-folder
Ups? = DxDiag Previously: Crashed in DirectSound (stage 3)
Instead of: Card name: RADEON 9800 SE (Omega 2.6.87) Using Omega-drivers? you should try the ATI drivers instead.
Your sounddrivers Date and Size: 8/12/2003 are ancient.........

Ok here you go.
Did you run the DXDIAG D3D tests with the new drivers?
You may want to switch over to the Catalyst drivers from ATI instead of using Omega drivers. Uninstall your Omega drivers before you install the Catalyst drivers. Follow the install directions explicitly.
Part of your problem seems to be that your system is only reportin 510MB of RAM, the demo requires 512MB. This could be causing a issue with the demo.
Try lowering the screen resolution to 1024x768 60Hz. You may want to try the 1024x768 16-bit setting in the game settings.
If you have the game installed on C: you need a minimum of 2.0 GB of free space. That drive only has 1.1GB free.
Your SoundMax audio drivers are 3 years old and should be updated if you can find one for it.

You don't have any room to install the program you lack free space.

I have enough free space now.
