I doubt if you will be able to get the demo running with Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family on your notebook

Can I get the full game running with that?

I get the same error message as Asterix.

I would imagine it is the video card, or the driver. It always seems to be the video card.

I also created the "AnalysisLog.sr0" but the upload wouldn't allow me to attach it to this message.

Sorry your system uses a Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller chipset. The graphics are run by chips on the motherboard. These are not capable of handling the T&L (transform & lighting) graphics used in the demo.

You'll need to get a stand alone video card that is DX9 COMPLIANT.

You may want to think about adding some memory. Your system uses a shared memory system and only reports 502MB RAM, the demo requires a minimum of 512MB. While the difference is small it could cause problems later as you build a larger city if you even did get the demo running.

If you have the game installed on drive D: there is not enough free space. If you have it on drive C: then no problem in that regard. The demo requires a minimum of 2.0GB free space.

Do you know if those of us with the chipset family be unable to run the full game as well?

Thanks!

The only Intel chipset that is hardware capable of running T&L features is the G965 series. However, there are no drivers available for it that allow it to do so.

3D enhancements enable greater game compatibility with support for Hardware T&L, and improved realism with support for Microsoft DirectX* 9.0c Shader Model 3.0, OpenGL* 1.5, and floating point operaions. Intel graphics technology also support the highest levels of the Microsoft Vista* Aero experience.
