Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone makes campaigns at all? I would very much like to try my hand at a campaign other than the 'official' campaign that comes wiht COTN.
Thanks
:)
Hi, have you tried Karter's scenarios? Although they are not marked as a 'campaign' they are sequels to one another. Bakatah is the first, then Tjemhu, Rhakotis and Nazlet. They are full of surprises, the last ones even with voiced 'tips and news'. I might say I enjoyed them more than the original campaigns. :)

Yes, Tjgoldstein, The Grad (http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9133) is our very first Campaign Maker! :)

cool.
thank you very much for the ultra quick replies!
I haven't tried 'The last Pharoh' campaign... but I've just downloaded it so will give it a whirl later tonight.
Also, I did download the other scenarios Kiya mentioned but I could never remember which went where in terms of what came first... I'll have to write it down so I can play them in order... lol.
Thanks again :)

If you don't mind waiting two months or so, I'll be making a new (and VERY challenging :D ) campaign - the 18th Dynasty. There will be 5 scenarios starting will start with the first ruler of the 18th dynasty and will include Hatshepsut, Thutmose III, Akhenaten (yes, the "Heretic King" scenario will be in there *evil grin* :D ), and Tutankhamen. Obviously, there are many Pharaohs of the 18th dynasty, but the problem is that the capital was mostly Waset or Men-nefer. ;) Obviously, I can't have the player play Waset or Men-nefer more than once (since the campaign system is not like Zeus or Emperor). The first scenario will be in Avaris, the former capital of the Hyksos pharaohs. Hatshepsut will have Men-nefer (although the real capital was at Waset; Men-nefer was still an important city nonetheless). For Thutmose III, the "capital" will be the city that served as the staging point for his campaigns (Iunu, if I recall correctly). Akhenaten's capital is at Akhetaten. Tutankhamen's capital is at Waset.
The city maps will be the same as the pre-made scenario with some modifications, but the world-level sites and triggers will be highly complex. :)

As Kiya posted:
1) Bakatah and the Sea People of Peleset - First Encounter
2) The Valley of Tjemhu
3) Rhakotis - A New Beginning
4) Nazlat al Fallahin
There are many many excellent User-created Scenarios, Tjgoldstein & definitely don't let the words "sandbox" fool you, cuz they can be just as good, complex & hard as those with a Win Screen, if not better. :)
