Well, I was planning to post pictures of my 1000 farmer city, but it started getting a bit laggy toward the 900 mark

I always thought the problem with quays was that they had a much shorter maximum pier size than the barge landings and such, thus limiting placement quite a bit to areas with a small bit of floodplain before river itself, i was under the impression the merchant ships cant do shallow water, and that'...

Probably because they dont have basic weapons, which are always useful, from weapons workshops, you can also make armor in weapons workshops, which is also quite useful.

I'm saving Them for the 1000 farmers at this moment, which isn't too far off now luckily

Nearing 800 now, it's complaining a bit at 2x speed, and it gets a fair bit of lag at the 6am/6pm

and the harvest sorta continues into flood season due to the walking distances.

I just purchased COTN Enhanced w/ Alexandria for 12.49 at Steam. Even though I already the the boxed edition I didn't want to go through the issues others have with the 2 versions. The game looks fine but I lost my kewl brick paving and other mods. Anyone know how to apply them to the Steam version...

Personally at the moment i'm on 75 nobles, 488 farmers (With a max of 558, but i want some more laborers and servants first) but yeah, still got everything turned up and fine, the end hope is to have 1000 farmers really, reckon i can make that in like...a month

Did you make that map? i mean i've never done the campaign but it looks to well designed not to be, either way i salute your city building skills, but i have one thing to say, mines bigger than yours

much better time wise, i'm upgrading my warehouse again now, where the level 12-13 upgrade took 23 hours or so, the 13-14 is going to take 10 hours apparently

Yes, I've seen that also. You can't build walls on flood plain, so it is often impossible to completely enclose your city. Not that they wouldn't just take reed boats anyway. :p personally on a large map (my personal prefrence was daughter of isis if memory serves) you would have all the famers and...

If they entombe you, you re dead, and also all your wives, cats, hunting hawks and eunuchs, so no bonus is possible. And I m going for it when I build all my cities enough and when I get bored of the game. I m very far of both, immortality is not so easy to get, you have to pay lots of lots of good...

great, thats another, what? 3 days of constant warehouse building before i can consider upping my palace to 15? let alone 22

Immortal people will probably get access to an afterlife world, in a sense. Also since no one is immortal yet, we don't actually know what happens now do we? the image in the hall of the immotals implys you will be entomed in your pyramid, i presume the pyramid would then perhaps give an extra bonu...

just wonderin' since i am myself, founded my 3rd city purely to get the required sculpture, when i upgrade my main palace again i'm laying off soldiers and putting more laborers to work for the limestone, 312 bread an hour, about to take laborers off these stupid common goods that my warehouses are ...

i find that if i build walls around the nobles "district" the raiders will go for the closest hole in the wall, it's just a simple thing of situating a guard post by said hole in wall, and all is well, i've never seen a raider go through a wall when there is a gap in one

10% bonus to emerald production here

just thinking, assuming we can build 10 more ships per shipyard upgrade, we need a level 50 shipyard tiem to stop giving out free jewlery and get saving

edit : not to mention the warehosue upgrades we'd need to do beforehand

i didn't even know there were such things as traders until just now one hasn't passed through either of the 2 nomes i'm situatued in yet

Right, i'm just plain fethed off at the people who attacked my monument now, so ima chargin' my army as it were, i am not losing the bloody monument a 3rd time and having to rebuild it again, i need the fething bonus, and to keep that it seems i have to station 200 men there permenantley
