i am able to get the check out screen, but it says: "Stock Status: Back Ordered" I am not really planning on purchasing this anyways...was hoping it would be an update for the game I already purchased...unless it adds so much stuff it can be called an expansion. Paying for another version for a few ...

Yeah....kinda weird the way this is going down. I stumbled across the game on gamespot looking at upcoming games list. According to gamespot: "Hinterland: Orc Lords is a seriously enhanced and updated version of the role-playing combat and strategic base-building game." http://www.gamespot.com/pc/st...

Very very impressed! It appears TiltedMill listens to the player's concerns and ideas.

I like the fact the quantity of magic items is reduced, however, I would like to see a "teired" system with different levels of quality for magic items. Something like: Crap/broken Normal Masterwork Magical Legendary Unique I agree that towards the end of the game you are completely bombarded by mag...

Very nice! I actually wanted to use a dragon my last game, but didn't find an egg until the very end.

In my opinion, there are precious few games that have any authentic role playing in them where actions you take on the part of your character have a direct result on your characters development as it relates to the game world. So if you are going to hold all PC games to that standard, you would be ...

No, sorry, that just doesn't fly. It quite obvious the audience they are trying to capture from it's very own advertisments. Sounds like excuses to me anyways... *edit* Just want to be clear though...I am not trying to say this is a "hardcore" game for "hardcore gamers"...but to excuse what some peo...

I don't see anywhere where the game is advertised as a "casual" game. In fact, here is how the TM describes their game: Loot, level and build with fast paced RPG combat and strategic base building! Your goal is to lead a handful of peasants to establish a small haven in the wild backcountry of a fan...

I would like to see the game pause automatically in a few places...

1) When speaking to a NPC in town
2) When townsfolk management screen is open (the one that shows all your characters in town with equipment)
3) When town management screen is open

Right...

"Mount & Blade - this game is about the combat. There isn't much else to the game"

Quite a claim from someone who hasn't even played it.

<shrug> Mostly just pointing out how your comparisons of price (for Mount & Blade) and features (Puzzle Quest) were inaccurate. I'm not saying anything about what you think of Hinterland. The price thing yes I was mistaken (though it still is an indie game developed for the most part by 2 people, t...

Arguing with someone when you haven't even played the game...priceless!

*edit*

Wow...didn't notice at first, but not only haven't you played Hinterland, you haven't played M&B or Darwinia either lol. I'm sure your opinions on the subject are extremely valuable haha.

Well....let's just compare to other $20 indie games that just came out... Mount & Blade - Much more depth, extremely deep combat, and has more tactical options. It also has much better graphics. It did have a longer development cycle, but the price is the same. Puzzle Quest - Seemingly just a puzzle...

I agree, and although I like the game, I am a bit dissapointed at how seemingly shallow the gameplay elements are...even for an indie game.
