Congrats SilverKitty! Too bad you couldn't break 100 /insert same old rant here... I had been in the top 100 several times over the last couple months, but then I'd cool down my bread-making and let my soldiers eat me down levels -- because there was already a 10-100 pyramid in my nome and I wanted...

Dunno what you kids are smokin' these days. I don't know anything about any drama. All I know is there was a player in Theoris named Kiya that started up about 2-4 months ago, and went Immortal on Sunday. I had a daily trade going with this Kiya and there was no drama, no lies, no problems. It was j...

The only real problem is with the PvP aspect of the game is that everything else about the game positively screams "log in once a day to play" but PvP requires constant monitoring. If they could work the pvp out to once-daily rounds or something, it'd be fine.

Little tool I made,

Dunno if anyone else will find this helpful, but I find it somewhat amusing and you might, too:

that is weird. I see that now, when I load the game, myself. but I don't remember it happening like that when I saved. then again, I don't remember paying attention to the fields at that moment, either. no festival. I've yet to use edicts, except when I experimented with 'em in the tutorial. I'm thi...

breaking news: Asyut utterly defeats the districting plan.

in unrelated news: Tinkerbell found dead from what coroners described as "an overdose of laughter".

also: lions found feeding on crocodile.

details at 11.

okay, bakeries. I don't entirely understand them. a) they turn barley into bread for the gov't workers. I get this. so why is there a never a recommendation to put nobles on "make barley" to increase the food for your workers? b) early on in Waset, I had two bakeries busily making their stuff. one s...

1) In front of the cult temple, a stone cutter puts the final touches on Henen-Nesu, a proud example of Pharaoh's master districting plan in action. 2) Come shop for all your needs at the Nesu plaza. 3) Pharaoh must always be reminded of his journey to Osiris. Though his architects express their wis...

those fools! putting the word "usually" in no, they're right. as I mentioned originally, these days so many former actual boulevards have been converted to wide roads while left retaining their name that the word "usually" now applies. sad, another fine nuance destroyed. pretty soon every word will ...

It loads with the Cult Temple almost complete & a large basalt statue blank is ready for dedication. However, you really should have some type of worship for the Patron (shrine), especially if it is Osiris ~ the most popular God. You had nothing. ;) yah, the shrine to Osiris was place-holding the C...

I know sometimes roads in our modern cities start as boulevards and retain the name once they are changed to wide roads, but technically, "boulevard" has a definition, and it isn't "wide road". just sayin'.

I agree that wendyology's city is incredibly pretty.

a few months after I "could" have won, but I wanted to finish the final obelisk to get to post-200 prestige (and dedicate a temple to myself, dangit!) I'm bothered that I don't know why my nobles didn't all max out, and I have a modification to make to my districts (apparently, the game help lies th...

perhaps they look less "messy" together if you see them in "action" as it were. this is still rather early in the scenario (just educated my first graduate), mind you, but I've already laid out my 4 farm districts, labor district, and elite district - though I've already decided because of the shape...

I've noticed in all three sections you have shrines repeated. Buildings have a maximum capacity and so you may see people in one area of the city headed to use a shrine in another section. ... There may be one right there, but if it's got the maximum amount of people headed there already, that empt...
