Some similarities. I have not played the board game in many years but as I recall most player decisions were resource allocation. Where to attack and with what. This game places a lot of emphasis on the tactical battles. Your forces enter the map and you spend the game moving them, deciding when to ...

Agree - some kind of high score board or hall of fame, perhaps?

The game still runs like a pig. Maybe I forgot to read the minimum hardware requirements? In any event, I have updated my sound and video drivers and confirmed I have the latest DirectX, so once again I post DxDiag.txt.

Manni - I downloaded and installed the Direct X you linked to and as far as I can tell nothing changed except the timestamp when various English Final Retail versions were installed. If you were just giving me the generic advice to update, then OK, but if you saw something that made you think my Dir...

No wonder sluggish Might be better if you install a newer driver for your video-chip and also sound-chip. Also directX Novembre 08-version wouldn`t harm.......... ;) Thanks. :o I just did upgrade the video driver. I have not bothered to do anything about the sound driver yet since I turn off all of...

Why? Why is it tacky? Don't really know. It is just considered bad form in some other places and doing a double post often leads to flame threads about the stupid things people will do to inflate their post count. I figured I might pre-empt some of that by acknowledging that I knew I was double pos...

Attached. I would describe game as sluggish, taking extremely long to respond to input (such as trying to scroll the map with WASD or center by a double click). Game takes 50% of CPU according to Task Manager even when doing "nothing" such as bringing up the Menu option as a pseudo-pause for the tac...

Tacky to do a double post, I know. First, I got just got and played the Stoughton mission. Nice touch to have a building that looks pretty much like Fairfax Courthouse and nicer touch that the General was in a building roughly NW of the Courthouse. It would be amusing to put the Dahlgren boat howitz...

Is the patch available on Impulse? It didn't seem to be about 8 PM EST, barring operator error. What does it change/fix?

Thanks. While I did RTFM, that obviously did not make an impression on me. :o

Impressions, I've got them. I'm not complaining about spending $20 but neither am I telling my friends to go out and buy it. That may change. I understand about choices that make a game playable, but the Mosby I've read about tended to have from 10 to 500 soldiers and they all came with their own mo...
