Well, since supposedly (and that's a big "supposedly, I understand) newer games like Crysis and such are supposed to run smoother and look better using DX 10. I'm too lazy to reinstall DX 9 and see if there's a difference. Either way, its only a matter of time before the games being released will st...

Yeah, I have Vista 64, but I play Crysis and some other DirectX 10 games so I'm not switching back and forth.

why not get yourself a XP-cd and install that? Seriously, tell me about it. But I have to say, so far Vista is running like a dream on my computer. As long as you have a super-stupid gaming computer, the operating system actually works. My girlfriend's laptop came with it and the thing was so chopp...

Oh, I know MS is a bunch of d-bags, but its still the principal of the thing. The game was indeed released for Windows, and you can't buy a computer these days that doesn't have Vista. The fact that the game is still sold and is unpatched is almost immoral.

I bought this game when it first came out and never got to play it becuase my laptop couldn't handle it, and now that I finally have a decent computer I can't play it without going back and forth between direct x 9 and 10? What kind of cra...

Yeah, it seems like "charge" is a permanent command regardless of what the tutorial says, but just as long as you switch back to rifles they'll stop.

Another thought, the game could probably be set in ancient Rome and it could be about building an outpost as opposed to a modern patrol base. That would stick with Tilted Mill's comfort zone more, and the combat engine would probably be easier to program than the complicated Close Combat level one t...

Game idea: Patrol Base management

Yeah I know, everyone has a "brilliant" game idea, but I just thought I'd throw this out there in the event that someone is actually listening. Since Tilted Mill seems to be big on combining the Stategy and City Building genre's, I think the idea for a "Patrol Base Tycoon" ;) kind of game would be r...
