Okar's Folly

Okar, advisor to the prince, sets out of the palace with great reservations. The complications of the current situation weigh heavy on his troubled mind. The pharaoh would surely never allow a common woman to claim the child of a prince; mother or no. The prince had no idea what position he had plac...

The Prince

...peering through the reeds, the shadow of death slithers silently through the waters of the Nile. He moves to and fro, seeking targets of opportunity, reeking despair and misery in his wake... A golden palace stands shining bright as the sun, leering down upon the river valley and its inhabitants....

A Tale of The Waters of the Nile

Flowing with bounty, the Nile carries with it the life's blood of Egypt. As much as the Nile carries life for its people, so do the noble ladies carry the future of generations to come. Here is one tale... Among the reeds, the workers continue to harvest the bounty that the gods of Egypt have seen f...

Waters of the Nile

Greetings fellow builders on the Nile. I would like to present to you a way for those with creative inclinations to have an outlet here among the reeds and waters of our beloved browser-based game. I will present an Egyptian-themed work of fiction that anyone can jump in and add to. It will be inter...

I like those ideas, Seth. As for adding some stuff that would affect rank, that may also solve the problem of entrenched inactive players at the top of the rankings. We can only hope that someone at TM will consider making the adjustments. :D

Most peeps here have gone immortal at some time and are now playing under a new name. When going immortal your name is immortalized just for you and cannot be used again, even by yourself. Cheers! I did not know that the name could never be used again. It makes sense, though. Thanks for posting tha...

Better Idea

I know, I know...they paid scarabs to be immune from deletion, but they're clogging up the works...especially the top 100. Don't delete their accounts. They paid their scarabs. Just move them to the last positions. Surely there's a way for admins to check the date they last logged in (I know, a lot...

I don't know if adding luxuries is a good idea but I definitely do not like the idea of reducing the number of cities to 3. I don't think we need a 5th city either. I like Tink's idea of making the monuments more variable. Not sure how that would play out in the market though. If the monuments becom...

I agree that it is only fair that people should donate to the temple to receive a bonus. I know that many would disagree and call those who have a temple and do not donate "freeloaders." Let me play devil's advocate here.....What if you build a temple and make donations occasionally but there are so...

I think I would prefer to have a third city first, especially if you are planning on leather for an army=building empire. Even if both of your current cities are high level, there is no good reason to wait on establishing your third city if you have the resources. The only exception is if you do not...

All very good ideas. I wonder if there are plans to include building speed-ups or multiple buildings in one city at the same time (a build queue). Other building games have these and provide you with a few to start off. If you want more, you have to purchase them. That could be another way for Tilte...

I have to say that I do not agree. I am not sure how rankings are determined but if someone gets to a certain rank, they should be able to keep it until someone can pass them up. Now, if age factors into rank then maybe that should be changed to make it more merit based but I don't like the idea of ...

I agree that a lot of games have this strict geometric layout to them. If you are looking for a game that does not, there is one I know of but it is an older game....It's called Age of Empires. They also had another one called Empire Earth.

I don't know about that. I know that this game seems simple at first then there are layers of complexity. It is supposed to be an "idle" game...you know, slow-paced.

I like the ideas presented, they are creative. I just don't think that they are necessary.

Ramses The whole point is that there are lots and lots of people and lots and lots of nomes where this is not true. What I mean is that everybody who holds a monument takes the same risk of having it taken away. If you don't agree with that then find someone who isn't taking what you consider to be...

I guess what is most amazing is that several people warned him not to go down that road and he insisted that he knew what he was doing and that everything would be okay. I wonder if it's permanent this time?

Johnny come lately

I was reading over this post (such is my life right now) and I noticed some people mentioned 'sticking' others with 1000 soldiers or more that would have to be fed should you decide to take certain monuments...I'm a little confused here..If you have too many soldiers, couldn't you just dismiss some ...

Sip!!

Yes, we did. I will miss all of you. I might stay around a little while longer but I don't know for how long. I sent you the last shipment of Bronze a little while ago, Sip. It's been good chatting and trading with you.
