I've been working overtime all week until today (including and only because I worked FIVE hours late last night). In case this comes up again: I had to uninstall firefox, telling it to uninstall the profile along with it. It couldn't find any sign of greasemonkey, so I reinstalled it and it let me s...

I recently upgraded to Firefox 3.6.8 and all my scripts disappeared. Whenever I try to reinstall, I get this: Script could not be installed TypeError: item is null The Nile and The West just aren't the same without the GM scripts....sigh. Going to uninstall/reinstall GM and FF. I sure hope it works!

Wow, some things never change....

Bored with my other game, I considered a dip back into the Nile. Before doing so, I peek into the forums to see what drama is currently unfolding to find that Tinkersmell is still calling names and blaming everyone else for his shortcomings, dishonorable behavior, and constant irritation of others. ...

I think that the difference between whether to get a complementary raw for your second city depends on whether you plan to play the game fast or slow. This all depends on how much patience you have. I intentionally waited late in the game to take my 4th city in 1 of my incarnations, choosing to take...

I'm not a computer guru, don't work at a computer or software company, I've never had an account hacked (knock on wood), and I don't get viruses as a general rule. I've been using Avast for the last 4 years, and I don't click on things that I don't know where they're going. Ads, many **** sites, dow...

Yeah, I would have thought they would have changed that by now. Especially since the soldiers don't disappear if you start a raid before you push the button.

I assure you that there was no intention to "screw people up" when I posted my goods in the market. "Caveat emptor"....when you see such transactions in the market, ALWAYS assume that it is due to pending immortality and be mindful of the time in transit to you. Contact the individual to verify you ...

I must say, it was me. Immortality beckoned, and a few moments ago I walked into the light..... (To be honest, I had way more I could have posted, but I got tired of clicking. There were lots of sell orders that didn't get picked up too, but it's all good.) I'm still on Sabah though. Some people sti...

Hmm, he never thinks, does he? Of course not, that would be too easy. On second thought, I think he just runs around this place seeing just how much mayhem he can stir up and how many people he can piss off. Oh, not to mention how many people, who aren't his little minions, he can force to leave th...

So your rule is law here? You megalomaniac! Pontius, did you miss the memo, lol? That's been his view the entire year I've been here. Feel free to call him Napoleon for short, lol . By the way, I love how he makes comments about JuliaSet being in vacation mode when he knows little or nothing about ...

81 isn't over the hill, down the other side & into the next county, lol. Age is a state of mind, in real life or on the Nile. My grandmother is 85 & still crochets 1 baby afghan per day for the nursery at the local hospital, which happens to be attached to the long-term care facility she's living in...

How about being able to trade up to a certain number of workers per day. Not many, just a small number, say 5-10? Then you have to wait up to 5 days for them to start regenerating. You could even limit the number of trades that a city could ever do & have it show on the console under the envoys. For...

With the exception of the first line. I agree with Tink. I'm a late gamer myself, so I'm just not on the wall that often anymore because I don't "need" much. However, when I get on there & I get started trading, I tend to end up sending out most of my ships before I leave. What usually prompts this ...

Another way you can do this via shortcut is the greasemonkey script. Once you have stored the bandit location, it'll ship there from any of your cities.

DUCK! Here come the "cheating" comments!

Whatever happened, I'm good this morning. Everything is running like it should. Farmer, I would have thought that if quantity was increasing that it would have shown a positive number? <hmmm> PantherX, I thought that production continued when you maxed out & the finished product was just dumped sinc...

Both cities did max out on bricks overnight, but I have had them running negative prior to that, so they should have gone down some already. I ran both at zero production for a few minutes, just to be sure they actually would go down & they did while I was online. I set them back to slightly negativ...

Bug: Maxed outbefore, now running negative, but the quantity isn't going down

I maxed out my warehouses on clay & reeds in 2 cities, so I reduced production to a negative net level. However, this morning I'm still maxed out. Both of them finally dropped by 1-2 each in my capital since I've been online today, but they should have been down from being set negative while I was o...

I got wine from Punt in Theoris. I need both blades, armour, gems & basalt to finish the set. From what I'm reading here, it sounds like I need to go for the holy pilgrimages for a while!

Snide comment removed at Fen's request I think that they should fix this as a bug though, because it shouldn't be able to be done. If you could do this to yourself, would you be able to do it to others...intentionally or accidentally? You should get one of those errors like when we try to trade our...

For those who I see are new to Sabah, who ask for a partial boat of a good I have, I have been sending 1 full boat and telling them to just repay when they can, but there's no rush. I know that if they don't, or they forget, that it doesn't hurt me and that I'm not bombing them with unwanted quantit...
