The four accomodations that spawn traveler children are: RV Park (A and B) Budget Hotel Amusement Park Resort Campgrounds Build a bunch of these (except for the resort that you can only have one) and make sure there are cheap venues nearby that the kids will go to (It doesn't matter if they are chil...

The Snowy Mountain is not a visitable landmark in itself. In order to use the Snowy Mountain, one must build a Ski Resort on top of it (with the requirements of a three star destination, enough venues to give a total of 50 "Adventure" satisfaction, and have total traveler income equal to 7,000 simol...

Finely textured buildings, of course. By the way, has anyone ever tried to use that "Hydro-Electric_Plant" XAC file that is part of the twenty or so hidden models without textures or XML files so that don't actually appear in the game? A bit more of a challenge than the parking garage... I would thi...

A speculation on how the developers chose the names.

I had a little speculation, a hunch if you will, that the Tilted Mill developers chose a list of first and last names, at least in the eng_us localization file, that each last and first name would, by chance, would assign a normal sim a name that's also one of a well-known person, living, dead, or p...

SCS Avatars?

How come I can't choose an avatar that relates to SimCity Societies?

Better yet, how do you make a custom avatar?

Add ons?

Lots of innovative ideas here... though I think you're missing something. I would add a dimension of politics to the list, which to me would bring the feel of SC3k and SCS to its logical next step. In SCS, as you stated, your sims have an impact in the way the city runs. In SC3K, your sims would act...

Is this clearer?

My question is whether Sims, when they get a job, will immediately go to work as soon as they get it. If this is the case, then it might not be advisable to build workplaces in the early evening when most sims are going to venues. Do unemployed sims wander around for a while looking for a job before...

The best part about this is it looks like there are actual zones instead of being a mosaic. I prefer the mosaic approach myself, but it's amazing you could pull the impression and still have a successful city! :D

What I missed most about SC2K was the actual newspapers. I found the later "tickers" lame and ruined a certain part of the entertainment aspect of the game. I mean, who doesn't chuckle at the pointless, random stories such as "Grandma Turns 800" and the more serious but still lighthearted "Time Runn...

Happiness and Questions about Workplaces.

I have ample venue space, short commutes between homes and workplaces, and enough police to keep criminals at bay. Yet I have constant problems with keeping sims happy. Sims appear to show up late for work but don't seem to be delayed in getting there. I am wondering if this problem has to do with w...

I loved the petitioners in SC3000 too. I'm a little surprised they weren't reintroduced in SCS! If EA ever revives SCS, they should have the Sims form Interest Groups that can impact your city in even more ways than individual sims can. You know the temperance advocates? Maybe if you have enough the...
