Saint's Row the Third, Mount and Blade Warband mods, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Tropico 4, Crusader Kings 2 most of all. I have an endless amount of games and often pick one randomly for a little play. I will play Caesar IV again, if I can discover where I backed up my savegames to. I found my COTN sav...

EA games...you would never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy...sorry, just had to say that. :o It might be unfair to say this, but I think the Simcity beta testers were either hitting illegal substances or used some sort of super server without the little foibles of most people's conne...

I keep getting problems with server connection, while I have no problem with my connection. Traffic seems fugged, even with the latest patch.

I like it okay, and thankfully I got it a bit cheaper through Gamestop.

There was also a Win version of Caesar II. I had some sound issue with the Dos Caesar when I last tried it on XP, I think.

Sorry I missed this thread earlier. Anyway, we are planning on having fortifications, but what we're avoiding is any kind of tactile combat that forces the player to kind of switch to "rts" mode, so to speak. We're not sure if we're even going to have fighting played out on the screen at all, but i...

Modern Times deprives you of the old buildings later in the game, some of which fit far easier in awkward places. Mines and farms are examples of that. Overall, I like it. Perhaps too easy, and Modern Times makes it easier still, as the skyscraper workers don't need education, and they make plenty o...

My Steam download of Children of the Nile has worked fine. Steam can be annoying at times. Games can be unavailable, games I own, for no good reason. Still, that is rare.

No castles? All large medieval towns had a castle which generally belonged the liege lord, say a count, or even the king. Paris had the Temple, Louvre and Bastille, all castles. London has the Tower of London. Dublin has Dublin castle, well except for one tower, had.

European medieval cities had winding narrow streets usually. There was some elements shared with earlier classical cities. Wealthier merchants and religious houses might have piped water, there could also be fountains and there had to be an aquaduct to carry the water - remember mostly that the Roma...

I thought an interview said 2d? I prefer 3D. Strategy games like Tropico IV are doing okay on consoles too, and that might get it attention for a console release. I suspect playing on a tablet will be a pain. One thing I would like would be the ability to build a monastary or church and be able to t...

I imagine engine weaknesses like that will not even crop up. I doubt even a line of code from an early City Builder will get used. Well, I hope exploit will be rare, but people always find them, and just have to be virtous enough not to use them.

I don't think protestants were around that early in the medieval times. Waldensians? They emerged in the late twelfth century with the preaching of merchant Peter Valdez of Lyon which came to be treated as heretical. Later during the Reformation they came to adopt most of the Calvinist tenets becom...

The Late Empire had a bimetallic currency, large gold solidii or pieces that were far too large for everyday transaction and silvered base metal coins. I think in Britain, heavily worn Roman coins had a fairly long use. If Tintagel were fully excavated coinage used for gift exchange and trade by the...

I just want to fight big Roman armies. My favour has been at zero for a while. I did the map properly a while ago. I now want to have a bit of laugh. I want to work out the best arrangement for walls and towers to defeat Caesar's armies. Caesar III just sent one, two and three full cohorts, or numbe...

Replaying Caesarea and not being attacked by Caesar

I am replaying Caesarea. I decided to ignore the demands for glass and only shipped marble as it made space in the stockpile. My imperial rating dropped to zero. I only was attacked once, and defeated that attack from Caesar easily. I was hoping there might be more. Is there?
