Mosby Update 12/3

Hey all, We've updated the build of the game on all distribution channels (Steam, D2D, Impulse, Gamers Gate). It should be live on Steam now and will go live on the others as it makes it through processing on their ends. Here is a list of changes we made... ⋅ Water optimizations and option...

dxdiags

Hey all, we're narrowing down some performance issues on certain machine configurations. If you're having issues ( or even if you are not ) and you have the time we could use a copy of some dxdiags (attached as text files) and a description of performance on your machine. We have pretty much ruled o...

Well, as long as the guys ordered to charge aren't cooling down from a previous charge they should go when ordered. If they individually have trouble seeing the enemy you may need to coax your guys out of the trees first then make your dash.

Well I solved the problem on my machine. The slowdown is caused by SLI. When I disable it and run the game off one graphics card , it runs fine. So instead of the problems caused by core duo, it is duo graphics. This is by far from the first game to crash on these reefs. Well that is interesting. S...

a small favor

Hey guys, We've made some tweaks to the engine in regards to how water works, some texturing stuff and memory management. If any of you have some time, we've sent an update to the BETA build up to Steam which will hopefully go live before the end of the day. I could use a few hands on deck to bang o...

OK, first and foremost we need to isolate drivers as a potential issue. Yours are 2+ years old both in terms of video and audio.

We are working on optimizations on our end that will likely help things but you may not see any effect w/o updating your drivers.

Just attach the txt file to a post. Please do not copy/paste it into the message itself. Yes, whenever you get a chance I'd appreciate it.

Thanks =)

I tend to bring in a few recruits to each mission as "trial by fire bait". Not the most noble tactic but I like to be pretty protective of my ranked soldiers. Often I will use a recruit or a pair to saunter down the road and draw out the enemy with a couple squads waiting in the trees to get a good ...

Hey all, It would be really helpful for you guys to post and attach the text file output from a dxdiag. I cooked the game last night for quite a while and had no issues. We know there is something in there that isn't right but we need a better sense of the configs we are dealing with. Thanks guys, Z

We are looking into this. Thanks.

It does look like we've got some bad mojo going on with Core Duos. We'll keep you posted on a fix for this when we get it all sorted out.

Ok, this is a little weird. I have a similar rig (core 2 quad) to both you guys at home and have had no slowdowns or lockups, though I'm generally dropping in and out of the game pretty frequently to verify specific things. I'll see about soaking it for a while tonight and see what I come up with. W...

Um, we are not getting this at all internally despite several attempts to reproduce it. Is it consistently happening for you no matter what?

Soldiers take a penalty to spotting enemies if they do not have line of sight to them. Hiding behind a barn, some thick trees, even a low wall in some cases can help you get the drop on someone. In a firefight, units behind some form of cover tend to get chewed up a bit less than those out in the op...

I will take a look at this in the morning. It may stemming from the same bad place that the slowdowns are coming from. Possibly not though. We'll investigate both.

Thanks for the heads up.

We'll look into this memory leak business in the morning. It would be helpful if anyone having this issue would please attach the text output from a dxdiag to a post so we can get a sense of what machine configs are getting hit the worst.
