I use 2-3 scribes mostly, but more if I can. That is for 8-12 nobles. I want at least half of my fields counted reliably. I put a 2nd set of lux shops in my farm section specifically for scribes, but that is about it. When my scribe wants to goto a feast or health/worship, he can walk that far. No ...

Bakeries First of all, realise that the World Map will take processed food if available before it will take raw food. This means that your single bakery wherever, that was doing fine, could be totally stripped of processed food. My start build has two central bakeries in farm section for brickmaker...

I think the bottom line ultimately depends on the size of the city and how much larger you expect it to grow.As I said,I always leave room for 4 bakeries in each main sector, just in case.

Thanks for the replies so far :)

How many bakeries do you normally build?

I would like to begin a discussion on bakeries and how many you employ in your cities. Obviously this will initially be decided on the size of your city, how many workers, labourers, services etc are in your city.In most cities (especially ones that continue to grow larger over time) I will usually alw...

Just been looking at that table you posted, bit harsh the educated worker cap dont you think?.I mean,a lot of us like to build really big,and this in turn requires ever more priests, scribes, overseers etc.How the hell could you cope with 25?! One result from that cap limit would be smaller/tight...

It is not only the lower Educated cap on Hard, the prestige is higher for each step. I almost always surpass 200 prestige in a lot of my cities.Reaching 500 (not just divine anymore, you WILL be a creator god in the flesh!) is my ultimate goal, and this is being planned as one of the requirements for...

I almost never give my nobles yachts. I like my cedar used elsewhere & keep my cedar reserve high to prevent it. Besides, yachts are another noble enhancemet to pay for. My nobles don't get mastabas for the very same reason (besides the early game brick cost). COTN only has two difficulty levels, n...

Servants are very weird creatues & I think there is some funny business (TM magic & a bit of cheating built into the process). If you try to follow them around you will get both dizzy & confused. Unlike retainers who stick by the royal Princess, servants can be somewhere totaly different from the s...

Entertainers you definitely need as must have. Lets say you opted to NOT have entertainers, and this is only a theory,I am not planning on doing this, would having yachts built for the nobles give the same entertainment bonuses as having entertainers themselves? this option could prove useful if you ...

Servants populate first directly from villagers w/o having to go through the farmer stage, so starting with 6 servents will populate your city faster. Do you need servants? Probably not, but I have as many as Nobles plus a few more for some of the lux shops. Servants only get their food from people...

If I remember correctly, their entertainment needs are not only about parties/entertainers, but hunting and sailing on a yacht as well. Also, they may complain about lack of entertainment because they were too busy shopping, (or visiting temples etc.) to attend parties. In that way, adding servants...

Servants and entertainers

I am interested in how,or even IF you implement both these services into your game?.Personally I include both a servant shack and an entertainer's house into the actual grounds of the townhouse itself. So,if we were to draw a road around the entire circumference of the noble's estate (5x5) then the r...

Just bring the camera down to ground level and zoom in. I made some screenshots from inside buildings looking out on to the main streets a long while back. They may still be attached to some old messages from 2004-2005. I expect these shortcuts to also be included wi...

Something that might help with brickmaking is where the clay sprites are placed by the scenariomaker. Some place many & some place few. Clay can be placed anywhere, but most scenariomakers place near the floodplain. If you build on top of a clay sprite (roads on top of clay sprites are fine), it be...

Sehr nett, danke :) Wobei es keine schlechte Methode ist, Gelerntes auch mal anzuwenden- verstehen ist kein Problem, ich bin nur bemüht wenige Fehler zu machen^^ @ Rileses I: The tip with the exchange seems helpful to me, thank you for this!
