Pi-Ramesse

Thanks for the reply but I'm talking about the very beginning of the city, not how the whole commander, feast, soldier, city gaurd thing works. I have one grad at the outset. I think he needs to be a city commander or I lose my nobles. But in creating a commander/soldiers and guard post, I have no b...

Pi-Remesse question

I'm just wondering what approach others have taken on this one. The first thing needed is security but the Commander will use up my only grad leaving me no way to educate another grad for a Priest to educate more grads... :D But without any city guard, the nobles will leave since the raiders come ve...

Exchange

Hail, Pharoahs.

Will cedar from Lachish automatically go to my Exchange since it's a Government collected resource? Do I forget about making a DOP for it?

I'm guessing I won't have to set any reserves for the cedar to keep other citizens scarfing through it if I use the Exchange?

TIA

Only 8 of 24? Are you only counting the ones carrying limestone? You need to also count the laborers after hauling ~ going home/shopping/services, going back to quarry, going to DOPs. Again, distance is the issue. Also whether you have other Overseer jobs going on. Constructing pyramids, one Constr...

Laborer to Overseer ratio?

Right now it's 1:24 and no more than 8 laborers are working at on time. It's a Great Pyramid.

TIA as always!

Yea, it's not seeming to be a big deal. Since the scenario warned about them, I thought it would be a problem.

Give em' a job and they go away.

Vagrants in Iunu

Hey all!

I'm working my way through the Grand Campaign. Before I start Iunu, what is the best way to deal with a starting map containing 29 Vagrants?

Thanks in advance.

In the Military Raider maps I will usually place my Barracks for the city guard near the elites and Palace. That way even if they are not on Patrol at the Guard Posts, the chances are high the raiders will come across guards that are just going about their daily duties. And yes, the guards that are...

You don't need city guards. This is a patented Tricky & VERY Evil™ puzzle scenario. Well, the raiders never take much. A couple loaves of bread, some animal hides. More a nuisance than anything. I did the scenario in 39 years. It would have gone quicker but I didn't use my laborers very wisel...

Oh yea, I always get a head start on equipment so that's not an issue. The game guide suggested keeping the posts and the guards near the commander, which is really difficult.

I'll try your method.

Thanks again, Keith!

Hennen-Nesu Strategy

I'd like to hear your basic strategy for this scenario. Particularly how you place your city guards and you other educated elite. No mattter what I do, I can't seem to keep the city safe. The guards are hardly ever on patrol when and where I need them. I can't afford 3 or 4 commanders which is what ...

Laborers and quarrying across the river

The Overseer goes to the quarry but will the laborers need a local barge in order to ferry across and bring the stele or whatever across?

I understand a base needs to be in place before the quarrying can begin.

Thanks!

Campaign autosaves always load to the World Map tiers where you pick the city. Always three cities there. For tier 2, you want GrandCampaign_1 If you have deleted it, then reload a win save from any tier 1 city, hit Scenario Info button to get new win screen & the game will create a new tier 2 camp...

Yes, you should have campaign autosaves, not just regular autosaves. GrandCampaign_1, 2, 3 etc. Each one returns you to the World Map for each tier & you can pick a different city from the three possible. Doing it this way keeps you in campaign mode (for the completed gold city icons on the ingame ...

Camaign sequence

I completed the first tier, then went on to do the Second Tier with Bubastis in it. I completed Bubastis and now I'm presented with the third tier with no chance to do the other two cities in that second tier.

Is there any way to access them without redoing Bubastis?

Thanks in advance.

Moving the school across the river worked. Much larger student pool there.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Bubastis

I'm not a very aesthetic builder. All I care about is if it works.

"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file" Anyone know what that's about?

This is the Windows Live link

Ah, Bubastis, with all the islands. Thank You for the additional info! OK, first of all, Priests refuse to cross the river to goto work (shop yes, work no), so your Education Priest has to be on the same island as your school. Papyrus next door to school. Also your school needs to be near both nobl...
