Good work in helping people have a chance to add in scripted events. Did you know there is another one that is usefull from the tutorial script. It causes a random number of certain houses /buildings in a given class to have a certain amount of fire damage done. Similiar to Earthquakes but it does a...

3 - I can't figure out how to slope the ground, so any new lowering of elevation I do has these jagged edges from non-sloped angle drop offs. You can place things on them just fine; it's just ugly. (I also can't figure out how to delete road in the editor, or rotate that "pretty road" tile they use...

As for the horizon, do you know you must select an "Apron" sized correct for your scenario in the editor. The apron size is what wraps around your map. They must also fit your map size too. Oh yes, have fun with the editor. You can do everything that the devs did, but it will take you alot of trial ...

So far, I have never had it happen to me. It may just be a freak accident. I have taken plenty of snapshots to post (earlier work).

Good luck Jade

I can tell you, if you do not recognize it already, that brown streak is just the muddy river bottom of the Default_Blend.dss and Default_Color.dss files loading up. That is very strange. It is as if your Roma_blend and _color.dss files disappeared. that is what it would look like without its textur...

Good question, Kuplo. I do not know much about photoshop, but I have used Gimp and other graphic editors. What I was doing with the game's retail editor tool was 'modifying' the existing textures, not replacing them. I could create pure grass texture for example, but it was a modification of the exi...

How are you going to pump water up to 7 levels? I can't even get water to pump over a hillock from one side to the other. What? I do not understand. Are you meant to respond to another poster thread? There are unit properties you could make an aqueduct lie with the slope of the land instead of flat...

TGoalBurnDamage/MaximumBurningDamage;int;100 TGoalBurnDamage/DamagePerWeek;int;10 I think if you have a fast computer and play at a slow game speed, the prefects are way smarter. I harldy ever have a fire (actually, none). I play at a custom speed about halfway between slow and normal . I have a P4 ...

yes, I read that post also. But it can still be done. I will give a try at typing this guide up. If You can be succesful, then you can explain it better to the people. It is 'easy' once you see how it works. But it is very odd and not logical. I think that is why the call it a 'Tool'. lol I want to ...

Fires are not a dice roll. At each update period, fire risk increases in all buildings. There is a setting in the newconstants file for fire risk. Also settings for prefect behavior. A visit by a prefect will reset the counter to zero. If the prefect has too much to do and can't make the rounds, a ...

yeh, I broke my thumb last night. It is fun to type with one hand. Good old bar fight, the other guy was just plain rude - and I taught him a lesson in manners. heh, may be awhile before I can make a more detailed instruction on getting the textures to stay put. That is the worst bug in t...

I saved the Carthago map as Carthago1 I exited the editor and loaded up Carthago1 in the game, and same thing, sand colored blob. So even though Im not telling the editor to save the textures, its apparently saving them else it would have used the two dds files that I took from the originals. What ...

Okay it's got to be that the editor is saving some bogus textures when I save the scenario because replacing the two dds files that were originally copied from the carthago files *again* fixed the problem with this map. So Im not sure whats causing this, but it's getting really really annoying to m...

I have had the tan screen before also if I do not do my method exactly. I do not know what is going on, I really hope someone other than me can make the Textures work for their maps! I did alot of trial and error. My method works, but it must be done exactly. It is real easy to screw up a map. I do ...

It obvious that reviewer does not like CB games period. If he thought CivCity Rome was better, he is an out of his mind. It is a POS I wish I could return to get my money back. Horrible game CCR. He should go back to playing his stupid FPS games. Look at those reviews. He finds the game '...

I cannot download from there, that is odd. I set my cookies to zero even. Anyway if you can show another host site that would be nice! I really like the looks of the dirty streets and Pleb Buildings. Plus the sounds for the battle would be more realistic and good for feedback. Abou...
