Yes, that's what I'm suspecting, too, from what I've read so far (I don't have the game to check it out myself). I hope this gets adressed quickly.

PS: My PC meets the requeriments for the game by far, only the graphic card is the "problem". Sometimes an outdated videocard is all it takes for a game not to load. It clearly states in the system requirements that the game needs at least an ATI 9600 to run. Maybe you know a friend who's willing t...

New Screenshots?

I don't know if these screenshots have already been posted or not. I saw them just now on Gamestar.

If it started only after you put more ram in, then maybe that's where the problem lies. Maybe the new ram is faulty. You could try taking the new one out and see if the game runs fine again with only the old ram inside. If that's the case then you should get a replacement for the faulty ram.

And I think with that videocard you should really lower the details until it runs more smoothly. You can also try to disable all unnecessary programs that are running in the background, if you haven't done that already.

I second that request. I'd like to have the choice whether to play with or without disasters.

Some of those rants remind me of tantrums of 3 year olds.

Yep, that's a game I currently play sometimes with my friends. It's not completely free in so far as that you have to buy the game initially, but there are no monthly fees.

DaTaP: If you're willing, you can attach your DxDiag here and we'll see if we can find a way to run C4 on your machine. Several people run C4 on Windows Media Center without problems. It even runs on the laptop of a friend of mine. Maybe there is some background program conflicting or another driver...

Technically it is still better. ;) But I agree, it is overpriced. It's a pity the intel chip does not support shader 3.0 (IIRC).

Can you maybe tell them to finally update the German C4 site? They still haven't put up a link to the patch. All other language versions of the C4 site are updated. Thanks in advance.

I guess I have to try to make myself a bit more clearer. I am not saying that particular Intel chipset won't run it. My point was to say that the Intel chipset is not better than the x1300 as freeminder suggested, but vice versa. That's all. :)

It may run CotN, but the X1300 is still better than an intel chipset. Especially for newer games, I guess, if he wants to play them.

I agree with Keith. Go for the ATI card. From my point of view the Intel chipset would be the downgrade and not the ATI.
