I don't know that anyone ever did it...maybe one person, like Karter or someone else who made really involved scenarios.

I just documented it so we'd know how if anyone wanted to do it.

It lets me know where workers are coming from, so I can assess the effectiveness of my city.

If I have nearby bricklayers, for example, and the assigned workers are coming from the other side of town, it indicates a weak point in my infrastructure.

Ah! It's the SHIFT key.

If you click and hold, it shows the people heading for the structure you have selected.

There's a list of debug or editor commands you can use that allow you to see points on all the citizens with a line to the structure they are heading to.

I've used it for years, but it's been years. I'll do some digging.

That'd be a neat trick.

I wonder how Minecraft does that? They change several textures in game depending on what biome the player is in.

That's actually a relatively painless way to find out the software isn't doing what it should. Methinks a bug report is in your future. :)

The only other difference I see there is the file path.

I don't remember if anyone ever tried changing these. I think we did, but I don't recall success, which would mean we never figured it out.

There are huge problems when creating objects using triggers. I believe the issue is they are not spawned with a legitimate ID, and the game doesn't know how to handle them properly. I've never been able to work out how to handle them in that way, so I had to come up with clever ways. If you want a ...

I explained it that way because of an earlier explanation for how to make maps, and I found that procedure very effective.
