The Ancient Egyptian Lute

Does anyone know what the Ancient Egyptian Lute sounded like? It usually looks like a small oblong with a rather slender pole... I've been searching on the net to see if there was anyone recently playing with such thing...

trying to figure out how to use Scribe Wall

I verified my account, but I still can't do anything to the scribe wall. What do I need to do in order to use the Scribe Wall?

crashing every 30 minutes of gameplay

It seems that every 30 minutes into playing this game, it crashes to desktop. I originally installed this game with the enhanced patch from Vista Ultimate, but since I also have XP, I decided to run the game from that system since the game was having performance problems in Vista. I have a Geforce 8...

ultra slow in enhanced version?

the performance in Children of the Nile used to run fine previously. But when I recently reinstalled the game and installed the enhanced patch, the game was unusually choppy even for a computer like mine that has 2 GB of RAM, a Geforce 8800 GTS and a Pentium 4. Oh, and this game is also running on V...

custom music for Caesar IV?

Is it possible to play custom music for Caesar IV? I wanted to put the Caesar III music (only the music that's frequently heard throughout the city building map) into Caesar IV.

housing block strategy?

what kind of housing block strategy would be good for any of us that just started the map? While placing the plebs housing is easy enough, I had a hard enough time trying to find a good spot for equites and patricians.

Pharaoh's walker sound files

Around the time I was playing the city building game Pharaoh (back in 2000), I asked in the Pharaoh website to see what the walkers say based on the issues happening in the city. They told me it's in this certain directory so I went there. As I was listening to each and every file, I was surprised a...

I just started playing that game after a long hiatus. The only problem is that the god animations are freaking slow.

have any of you tried this in CotN?

Don't know if this was discussed, but I've learned about this trick in SimCity 4. Try adding in music from the old city-builder game of Pharaoh into the CotN audio/music/main game folder. I thought it might have more variety in Egypt-themed music.

my thoughts on the Caesar IV demo

I have to say, this game has a very close resemblance to Caesar III. Very nice graphics and stuff now that I have a geforce 6200 (sorry I am a little bit economical). I was originally expecting this game go along the lines of CotN (such as seeing people build houses from the ground up), but I guess ...

I just played this yesterday (after putting a 6200 into my PC). I originally thought some of the building mechanics were going to be along the lines of CotN, but I guess not... I thought the citizens of a Roman city would go to the designated spot to build the house. Remember those building sequence...

how about a VE series of the 5700? Not sure if I could use that often because I think my PC couldn't handle it... (found this out when playing Tron 2.0 with that card)

Allusions/Easter eggs in Impressions games

When I was playing Zeus: Master of Olympus, all the walkers sound more American... aside from that, some of these walkers make references to certain individuals or have similar dialogue from previous city-builders. Here's the list I drew up: -The city guards sound like Clint Eastwood (when battling ...

Caesar I tips?

Do any of you have any sort of knowledge on how to properly handle a city in Caesar I? I know it's an awkward topic to bring up, but I don't think there's any other site that even has anything to do with Caesar I, or find the proper forum category for it. I had the city-building knowledge from Caesa...

Dissatisfaction crisis

This is the biggest crisis I've ever experienced in the game so far. I can't seem to do whatever to calm this bunch of protesters at Henen-nesu (most of them are soldiers). Despite having most of the necessary things near them, the dissatisfaction is ridiculous. Any way of resolving this? There's a ...
