It's the auto-complete function of your browser. I know both Firefox and Chrome have them, possibly other browsers as well.

My only minor problem is that the new monitor is wide screen HD format and the games seem to be slightly (not much) stretched sideways when they run on the screen. It's noticeable but not annoying. You might want to check your monitor's options. My widescreen (16:10) Dell monitor has a setting call...

I don't remember there being any keys for viewing the whole city. I do remember that there's an option in C4 to take a whole city screenshot. That was used for the submissions in the online part of C4. Having just started both CotN and Caesar IV and reading through the in-game help page on keyboard ...

I think you'll be disappointed: it's just one script per scenario to control invasions, military requests, wages and some other events, and a Tools.cs which contains helper functions for those scenario scripts.

Other than that: no scripts, everything's done in the .exe file itself.

No radical changes - the patch just fixes bugs and crashes and adds minor improvements/settings.

The original version of Hieronymus' scripting guide is in this thread. This is only for Caesar 4 as far as I'm aware: I don't have SCS, but I'm guessing it doesn't have the same interface as C4 has.

The "follower remains" item should be available for every killed follower, see attached screenshot of what the item looks like. We can also get follower remains from enemies as loot (or that was a dead follower too & just too close in distance to the dead enemy). I'm going to guess you clicked a dea...

Yes, it's an item. When one of your followers dies in battle, you can loot them: one of the items they give are "follower remains", which you can then use to hire a grave digger.

Could you attach both saved games to this thread? Also, are those two .tga files in the same folder as the saved game or not? If so, the program tries to use those, and if it fails, it'll look into the .scs file (which is so complex that it might miss a couple of things).

That's good :)

I have updated the program - version 1.1 is attached to the first post in this thread. Have fun!

I understand the save file but the screen shot as I understand it will be simply a picture of the entire screen with the minimap down in the lower left corner. It can be blown up but the minimap gets quite blurry and detail cannot be distinguished. Yes, that's what I want: I'm going to use the mini...

Good luck if you contact the Activision guys. I tried that two years ago, because I has some ideas to keep the Caesar IV online servers running. They didn't even response, or talked to me when I tried to meet someone personally during the games convention 2007. Forget it, Activision is all about ma...

I can only assume that the SCS file format changed when Destinations was released, which means I have to change the program to be able to load those newer saves. Since I don't have the game, nor the expansion, I can't do anything about this without help: either someone else needs to pick up the proj...

Of course the only issue with that is keeping your necro/herder at the edge of combat so they don't get one shotted by some L12/13 nasty while having them close enough in that the dragons and skeletons join in the fight ;) For the herder, that's easily solved: just give him a bow instead of some me...

Question: do followers consume food? If not, please disregard the rest of the post. The tooltip you get when hovering over the amount of food doesn't include the food consumed by followers, if they indeed do eat. Steps to reproduce: 1. Load attached save game 2. I can confirm this: I let the wheat run out in my 4th city, then put one worker on wheat and as many in the bakery as possible: Wheat: production 9.6/hr, consumption 532.8/hr, net loss of 500+ Bread: production 266.4/hr, consumption 176.5/hr, net gain of 89.9 Roughly 15 minutes later my bread store ...

Yes, you can only have one of the temples: either the temple of good or the one of evil. And you can only have one acolyte (shrine) in town. Once you upgrade the acolyte to (dark or light) priest, you can't hire another, unless you destroy the temple first. If you can get a necromancer early, he's q...

I doubt it: the server running the game is a Linux server, so that one's clock is set to UTC by default, in which no daylight saving exists. No hour will be skipped. The ETA on shipments might be off by one hour, but that's most likely the only problem.

Let's see... Nile Online uses:
- the Prototype javascript library for AJAX, with Scriptaculous for effects
- PHP on the server side
- Apache as web server, running on Linux
- most likely MySQL as backend database
- some daemon process to update the production numbers
