Is Theoris safe?

This is probably coincidence, but... I just got a notification that somebody attempted to log into my GMail account. They had my password but not my security questions, so fortunately they didn't get into anything. I was using the same password for GMail as I do for my Nile Online accounts (but not ...

Resource Management Spreadsheet (Work in Progress)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10JUGud3-28-NOziXF2kSE3s4rXG0nn8DOHlvAOkcjqg/edit?usp=sharing So I'm going to state up front that if you are not interested in micromanagement, then you should just skip this thread now. A few weeks ago on my Sabah account I knew I was getting close to immorta...

We need a real ranking system that reflects some actual skill, rather than the current one which only shows who sold most scarabs and gained most rank because of that. or make a seperate ranking list for the "normal" not-paying players. that would be interesting!! So, what you are saying here is th...

don't any of you get it? if you follow this, you can make all 5 lux goods. Apparently you don't get it. 1) If everybody has a henna city, then less people have kohl/oil cities to give you the goods you need to make cosmetics/perfume. You would eventually end up with an imbalanced market and those y...

SUG: Remove inactive players from rank.

In Sabah, I went immortal almost a month ago and then immediately signed up for a new account. When I created my new account, my ranking was higher than 2000 (2200 I think). I haven't been particularly active on this new account either. Whereas I used to check in two or three times a day to make sur...

Is a fourth city really worth it?

In my first game on Sabah, I was so caught up in building things I built a fourth city because it was the next thing to do. This time around in Theoris, I have not made any special effort to save for a fourth city, but I have been hoarding my surplus goods in my capital with the idea that when I hav...

This is right on. Spec points in a city should never be split. This is not necessarily true. In one scenario I ran the analysis on, when your city is producing both all of your bricks and pots (i.e. not acquiring any through trade), you do eventually end up having an almost equal number of workers ...

While the argument "Spend them you have most workers is largely correct" No, it is not "largely correct", it is absolutely correct. In part of the analysis I did, I fabricated other scenarios where, for example, you need three mud per brick instead of two or you choose to never make pots and trade ...

I basically killed this subject with rigorous mathematics a month or two ago. Here is the short version: What DavidO said is correct: Wherever you have the most workers is the most effective use of your spec points. Period. Look at your city - see which building has the most workers. Put your specs ...

SUG: Repopulate monument sites after immortality

I think this has been brought up before, but all the monument sites on Sabah that have been "abandoned" from people going immortal have zero bandits guarding them. This makes capturing a monument site with my new account rather... unchallenging.

SUG: Multiple nubian trader listings

With the trade wall in Sabah being nearly dead and nobody listing goods on the market, I am having to buy henna from the Nubians. No big deal, but I need thousands and I can only buy 25 at a time. It would be nice if there were listings for, say 25, 100, 500, and 2500 to make large purchases easier.

if you see it that negative and you don't want to either get bread or ressources then what do you think you are playing ? just an upgrade game ? and why are you upgrading ? Ummm, last I checked, the genre of game that Nile Online falls into would be "City Builder" so, yeah, I am playing an upgrade ...

I'm not sure how I see that an inactive market is part of the problem. Even if I could sell my surplus lux goods, all that would do is give me surplus bread. I'm not for want of spending power right now. And I've actually started generating tons of surplus bread too because I took my workers off the...

davypi i guess the reason for that might be because you are overdue for immortality and not the game itself. I can't be overdue on immortality if my main palace is only L19. And really, I've had this problem since about L16. I think what I would like to see is to have an ability to put workers in a...

Yes, people who have [monuments] are enjoying a prestige bonus to their rank but they are, in essence, "paying the cost to be the boss"...so let it go already! I guess my only quibble with this philosophy is that people who are raiding aren't doing it for the prestige bonus - they're doing it to pi...

Most programming languages either have a built in UPCASE function or somebody has already written a library to do it for you. It a two minute fix, tops, even on a bad day.

SUG: Apply workers to build times

Yes, I know this has already been sugged a bazillion times, but I think it needs reiterating. I am literally giving away 4-5K goods per day in Sabah and I *STILL* have more stuff than I can possibly use. If there is one thing that might cause me to leave NO, it will be because I've gotten bored wait...

Anyone who has played Travian, or Ikarium, etc... can tell you that in those games it can take weeks to build up an army. This is not true in NO, and is one of the benefits of our current system. You can't really amass an army that is undefeatable the way you can in other games I have to disagree w...

As I posted somewhere else, that wouldn't work. Most top ranking players log in many many many times a day, and don't keep anything of value in their monuments. Why would you? What if the prestige bonus for the monument site were knocked back down to zero on a losing battle? Maybe you wouldn't win ...
