There is a small glitch with the farmers that you may want to be aware of.
Description (and workaround) here.

Trust me to focus on the negative. Congratulations on getting Destinations. A great expansion to a great game. :)

Lets say you opted to NOT have entertainers, and this is only a theory,I am not planning on doing this, would having yachts built for the nobles give the same entertainment bonuses as having entertainers themselves? this option could prove useful if you were wanting to make cutbacks and needed to fre...

If I remember correctly, their entertainment needs are not only about parties/entertainers, but hunting and sailing on a yacht as well. Also, they may complain about lack of entertainment because they were too busy shopping, (or visiting temples etc.) to attend parties. In that way, adding servants ...

All of them! :)

Each style has its own challenges and solutions. It is what keeps SCS interesting (for me at least) - trying to build working cities in different styles or combinations of styles.

We should be able to bulldoze the hills. I just got the game and am working on a lovely city, or would be lovely if I am not increasingly aware I am annoying my citizens with not being able to enter buildings (high walls, no stairs) and forcing them to drive practically sideways. When I started, I ...

There are some numebrs (I forget where) That say (basically) If Sim has to Travel X distance or more Y% chance of using a Car It is a bit more complicated than that, and is affected by other things in the game, including if the Sim did not use a car earlier in the day. That is - If a Sim wakes up a...

On a related note, if you transfer trophy winning cities to a new user, do they win trophies and unlock buildings for him/her?

I know, I know - just test it yourself, but 1. I'm not at my SCS computer and 2. I'm lazy. :o :D

Thanks a lot - I would like them both. (I'm chronically indecisive :o ) Is something keeping you from just posting the fixes here on the forums? Others might like them now and in the future. I was thinking - is there somewhere on these forums where we could collect known and confirmed bugs and their...

Excellent - very well done. I will add this to my list of bug fixes. I can't quite decide, however, how best to fix it in keeping with the developers intent. Like you, my thought was to clear the flag as part of the treatment at a health venue, but sunburned sims are not sick/injured, right? Is ther...

Thanks. I have read your previous posts and I do know a bit of prgramming. It seems to me that you have found that the Ozone Hole event sets a flag that causes sims to behave in a certain way when selecting venues, and that this is never cleared. This would cause the sims to keep behaving in this wa...

Thanks again. I agree that remote camps are to be avoided.
However, my greedy side wants to do and build all that I can on a map, and it sometimes leads me down that path. :o :D

I find that it helps, if at all possible, to keep the shops close together. Otherwise, you get shoppers running from one group of shops to another looking for different goods.
If you have to spread out your common shops, make sure that you have plenty so that they are full most of the time.

Azeem, I think I have found out why Angry Sims stay angry. I can hardly believe the reason but have confirmed it by removing the the symptom and they recover almost immediately. It is either an oversight by the programmer that did it or it was done as a joke, I am not sure which. Take a look at lin...

Thanks everyone for your replies. :) I was actually thinking about the first years of a city - realising that, as CharleyK1 pointed out, it doesn't matter that much either way. I just thought that demand was governed by time and population alone. The proximity effect is new to me, however. I thought...

Yes! Overseers & lux shops trigger the need for Health & worship, as do laborers. Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just stumbled across this. Am I to understand that citizens will not ask for healthcare and worship until I build certain buildings? Good to know in the first year or two.

I bought the Deluxe edition last year for something like 12 Euro, have been p...
