Just gonna say ... no matter how many new aliases and sock puppet accounts you post under ...

I REALLY DOUBT Tilted Mill will turn "Medieval Mayor" into "Rome:Total War".

If you want battle ... go play a battle game.

We are at 1C (34F) but dropping to -9C (15F) tonight and a few degrees lower over the next few days. Folks are piling Hay bales and tarps around the Lower Mainland's palm trees.

Bought this from GOG today. Already have COTN boxed edition, but no-CD play will be nice.

PLEASE consider GOG as a release channel for Medieval Mayor.

I do use Steam when forced to but turn it off unless I am actively playing a game requiring a Steam connection.

The GOG.com model is good as you get to DOWNLOAD a DRM FREE version of the software and as successive OS's spawn, they say the software will be updated. Steam is a bit more tricky as you could play offline indefinitely for most titles if Steam went under or got closed down, OR your country/region go...

Baen free library is smaller than it used to be and there is a chance the free ebook cd's may disappear in the near future as Baen made a deal to also sell their ebooks on Amazon. They will continue to sell their DRM free versions at http://www.baenebooks.com The CD archives are still available for ...

I want the Caesar III wolves to come back ... the surfing sheep too ... these were priceless easter eggs. To quote myself from several years ago ... --- Funny Memory from Caesar III --- The first time I had the option to build a Pig Farm I saw these furry animals across the water. So I figured ... O...

Steam has Tropico 4, Modern Times and all 5 DLC's for sale this weekend. All together would come in at $23.68 USD. Alternatively you can pay Amazon $29.99 USD for Tropico 4 Gold Boxed edition which does NOT include any of the DLC's. Amazon downloaded versions are price matching Steam so you can go t...

On this topic, I am also less that pleased with Steam.

One would hope digital download direct from Tilted Mill (Ideal) or somewhere less annoying than Steam anyway. GOG is also a lovely option. Boxed Options are still nice as well but the old model of spinning your cd/dvd forever is annoying.

Gameplay is similar enough to get off to a quick start except you now right click to pop up a multi selection menu and the old versions you had to left click interface buttons. Zoom and pan are fully mouse driven now but sadly do not let you zoom out far/high enough IMO. Lots more to do especially w...

Tropico 3 & 4

Note: not a Kalypso employee but just reflecting on the game. I've always been a huge fan of the Tropico Series and was especially addicted to Tropico 2 Pirate's Cove. Just loved the graveyard and zombie porters amongst many other risque themes to the game. Well, eventually moved on to other things...
