Hey, Recalcitrant Tuna, you read my mind - or I read yours! I was thinking of starting up just this sort of club! I'm here for the duration, saving up hard earned pounds for a new PC. I intend to buy CIV, even if I won't be able to play it. I want to clutch the game to my chest and croon lovingly ov...

Well, it'll be a few months before I play CIV. I need a new PC first. Therefore I would kindly ask you to keep your excitement to the barest minimum - no fun stuff, or details for at least 4 months.

Well, I won't be entering any C3 contests. As someone who won't be able to get CIV :( I decided, as a consolation, to replay C3. I thought that with all my previous experience of C3 and the other CBs, it would be a snip. Nope. What a mess I'm making of everything. As for the military campaign - bwa ...

I am the most anxious. When I get home tonight I am going to attempt to download the demo on my trusty PC (Windows ME) and if there's a God up there and miracles do happen, then the demo will work. If I can't get the main game or the demo I will be an incredibly unhappy bunny. You'll know. Look to t...

Thanks, Mark. Looks like I might just scrape through with those minimum requirements. :D

Thanks, Keith

I switched to a Mac for work related purposes recently (can't complain when given a freebie). I still have my old PC, but its low end with Windows ME. Seems like I might luck out with both systems. :(

Platform

Sorry if this has come up elsewhere. I had a look at Amazon's pre-order information and XP is listed as the only platform to support Caesar IV. Someone please tell me that other platforms are supported.

CIV definitely, and maybe CivCity, but that depends on the specs. A lot of the new games out now no longer support ME, which is my operating system. I'm not too bothered about that, as long as CIV runs on my machine. :)

Had a lunchtime huddle with some work colleagues and they came up with: 20 - Hunters & Collectors - Collected Works 31 - Hoodoo Gurus - Mars needs Guitars 41 - Toto - IV The general opinion is that 39 looks like All The Road Running by Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris, but can't be positive on that....

I hope you have patched the game. Quandry. Akhetaten is a fourth sandbox, but you have to download it from the COTN website (link top right of forum page). There are also sandboxes in our User-Created Scenario section on this fourm for additional download. Thanks for this info, Mark. CotN is patche...

Thank you, Angelisis and MarkDuffy. What a twerp I am, though. I should have opened up each scenario instead of just looking down the list and panicking. Found a third sandbox, Voice of Sobek. :D

I'm new to both CotN and 3d. The 3d is taking a bit of getting used to, but it's fun to zoom in close and watch people go about their businesses. From the tutorials (that's how new I am to CotN) I know I'm going to like this game but, gasp, no sandbox? My habit is to go from the tutorial to an...
