TM is working with a small staff right now. They are just getting restarted after the economy went bad. So they are most likely working hard on the game and don't have much time to do the PR thing right now because they are focused on getting the game out. Even with limited staff it takes only a fe...

What TM is good at is developing solid city builders. They rarely ventured into the mythical. quest/hero role playing genre. To get an assist for keith here is the previous thread discussing mythical creatures and magic http://tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27129&highlight=cut+scene

I'm voting AGAINST this. Medieval cities were packed places full of buildings and people, not pastoral fantasies of flowers and ponds. If one took a time machine back to London circa 1066, one would NOT find "ponds and flowers" but filth and mud, animal parts, human excrement flowing down the stree...

I think this request ties in with the thread encourage inovation. Players want visual diversity. The ability to make the city look differant from the last if thats accomplished with decoration or being able to deviate from a the most efficiant housing block without a penalty in efficiency /stability...

The specilization of cities into centers for a particular trade or goods in TM games has usually been done through the script of the game. As you advanced through the eras of the particular culture. The game forced you to make the city a weapons depot, gold hub or what ever. TM has in the past done ...

MM having similar kinds of buildings grouped is encouraged and rewarded (that is, things work better that way). City organized like this also allows you to more readily assess how you're doing ( since housing evolution is the central focus of the city ) by, for example, looking at a few housing are...

So I see there are solutions to this concern already being hashed out in private games being developed by some of the forum members. Very cool BTW. As stated by Tobing There always is a optimal block and in his model (correct me if i am not understanding this correctly) it is so complex that adding ...

I agree with the OP that housing blocks become boring. The current method of preventing the use of blocks is terrain, events scripted into the map does achieve some level of variety but ultimately fails as slightly modifying the “perfect block” to fit the area provided does little to change the app...

I don't see the oldest profession listed though...perhaps it could be classed up to courtesan. :p

I personally dont mind any of the systems used for walkers. It was just a matter of learning the idiocracy of the game and adapting to it. As Chris stated in his blog Of walkers and men giving the walkers a "brain" causes more problems than it solves. I would much rather have a dumb market lady that...

I like the idea of trading item for item no money involved. this could open the oppertunity to produce X trade it for Y with one settlement then trade Y for Z with another settlement. I dont mind trade routes opening or closing based on oytside events such as drought, change in political status, etc...
