Just to note, the custom bump mapping and map sizes should now be functioning correctly along with the release of Update #4. If you are still finding problems with those two particular issues, please drop a message here so we can address them.

One of the BEST features of the Sims games is the ability to modify the game. Larger sizes maps are not a standard feature, I get that, but it's something that could be modded by the players. Now that's disabled for no apparent reason. It makes no sense. If our systems can handle the larger maps th...

This is the problem I've been having since the beginning. Patch #3 and lower settings have allowed me to go a little further and reach a population of 24,000 but the inevitable happens and the game gives up. Since this issue is 'known', is it worth posting another DXDiag and HiJack report along wit...

How do you adjust this? I don't see any options for this in the options menu, unless you mean adjustable in the xml? Check the bottom left of the Video Settings (advanced) section. It's called "Visible Sims". Also note the "Low-Memory Optimization" button in the top-right. It'll disable vegetation ...

An important difference between the two is that "advanced" tries to "adapt" itself around your buildings (much like the roads you were dealing with beforehand), while "simple" doesn't. Simple will essentially say "nope, can't do that" while advanced goes "can't do that, how about this?".

I didn't mean any copy protection at all, but the **** bit was a word meaning rubbish, as in when it doesn't even work itself, and punishes legit users some ways. Like i dont know, not letting them play the game they've bought...... Thanks mike for your PM, which does work, but not publish that her...

Well, here's the safest way I can explain it without someone taking me out in the parking lot: 1) Update gets made and sent off to EA for approval. 2) EA does vigorous testing to find various problems with the current build. 3) If no problems were found, the update gets released. Otherwise, update g...

I'm just wondering if there will be a fix for the worker barracks in patch 3? The reason I'm asking is that the worker barracks are somehow bugged. They always cause the population number (the 'fake' one) to crash wierdly whenever I place them. Sometimes if I slowly place them one at a time, I can ...

Damn Dirty Hippies!

so I guess it is just one of the "evil" options in the game. I can live with that. other than being evil and maybe getting a kick out of it I just did not see any reason to do it. the loanshark and foreclosure at least give you money for the actions. another question I had was the activist rally. a...

Sorry.

Unfortunately, I can't give out a specific date for the upcoming game update. Even if I could, I'd have to seal these stubborn lips. Release date control is, for the most part, handled by EA. Hopefully you can also understand why I can't explain as to why it hasn't been released earlier. If you wish...
