I haven't been on here in a while but I'm interested in your work. I'm no programmer unfortunately.

What would really make a huge difference is if you can figure out how to import new models. Or has this been figured out already?

I`ve been looking around the internet and stuff and All the simcity players hate Societies, I`ve played simcity4 and sim city societes and I like the new look and societal figures but all the other players just complain about ther changes and "casual plopping". Why do sim city players dont apprecia...

Edit

DOH!!! I don't know what I was thinking but I meant this edit to be in another post on another forum but must have mind-tricked myself and did it here instead. And Seolsaw, you're the one I put the file up for most of all and I hope you come around again to find it's back up. Sorry everyone who got ...

Question about surplus building models

Azeem's post about his new buildings got me to thinking is there any surplus building mods that didn't get released with the game, patches, or destinations that TM could possibly post so they don't go to waste? Especially since we cannot create new models? For that matter, is there anything else oth...

Sorry Azeem, there isn't a lot of users anymore and next to no traffic on this site as well as, at least for me, I don't have it installed anymore because of securom so I haven't had the want to download new mods.

Very nice buildings tho.

About 90% of the blame can be laid on Rod Humble's shoulders. He came to a very active Simcity 4 community site and told everyone in a very blunt and condesending way that the new Simcity wasn't being made for them, it wasn't going to contain anything from their wish lists, and the thrust of the pre...

I don't remember specifically but one way to find out is to start a new city that has a good flat spot on it and lay a stretch of road down. Then start plopping objects of only one energy type until the road changes. It's been awhile so I'm probably wrong, but the number 160 being a threshold for so...

It's a real bug, Matt. I've had it too but unfortunately I don't have a sample game anymore to share with you. The bug seems to have been introduced with patch 5 along with the shifting the footprint size of objects 90 degrees which breaks many mods (tho can be fixed with manual adjustment). Thanks ...

I've watched question after question go unanswered here and at the official site and I hate to say it but it seems Societies has been abandoned by EA. I also have a feeling TM is no longer supporting the game either. I doubt heavily we will ever see another patch or expansion pack. The community is ...

It's funny, I came from an area that is considered cowboy country and the word dude is actually an insult and not a word you would want to be called. It was pretty much means noob, a person who can't rope, ride, or shoot, but with a scum/city slicker spin to it. There were a couple of 'Dude Ranches'...

These are some screenshots I did awhile ago. I did have a complete town but I never did screencaps of it unfortunately. It was really neat to have a working island town and it was made up of buildings that you would sterotypically think of a small island like gardens and huts.

At GameSpot the user score for the game has been around 7.8 - 8.1 since SimCity Societies: Destinations was released. Now, just one day since GameSpot gave the expansion a decent review an extra 20 people have reviewed the expansion and the score is now at only 7.2. The little pie chart also only h...

I'm in a conundrum myself with who to use. ATI looks better when things are working right but their drivers suck and their applets suck even more. Nvidia has better driver support and tends to work more often but IMO I think the video quality isn't as good.

I don't think it was so much the Simcity 4 fans are self minded as much as it was Rod Humble coming to a Simcity 4 FANSITE and saying in so many words that the next Simcity, Simcity Societies, wasn't a city simulator and wasn't going to be anything like the previous Simcities, wasn't going to have a...

@Manni I have had it both ways and my experience is it doesn't matter. Neither way seems to affect my game's stability. Granted, Windows isn't known for handling those characters in all instances, but for what Societies does do, it doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm not saying to toga333 not to try t...
