Yes, I think you should get away for a while. Why would you rant on this guy making all sorts of accusations and assumptions about how much he has tried to fix his issue and then label him part of the problem without ever getting a confirmation of such accusations and assumptions. I for one have vis...

Let me clarify your points that you claim you never made by quoting you. i too find myself awe-struck by such amazing feats of engineering, but don't forget that such excess will be our doom. the most likely scenario would be that Dubai becomes a successful, unsustainable tourist destination, eventu...

I this point I think gameplay really shouldn't be factored in, but whether your computer meets the mystical requirements that enable you to play without crashing or freezing.

I am not even going to consider responding to your last point because it doesn't make sense. I feel that you have realized that the point you were originally trying to make is wrong, and you are trying to hang on to the last few points that might or might not be wrong. Do consider that the source of...

Naw, I don't really have "hope" as you have described it. I just know that when someone with wealth and power sees their future threatened, they will overcome that obstacle to perpetuate their level of comfort and security. It has nothing to do with a belief in the goodness of mankind, but rather th...

For one thing, just because a resource is non-renewable does not mean that it will be exhausted in any reasonable time in the future. Coal, for instance along with uranium are both still and will continue to be widely available in large quantities. While the high use of power is something to conside...

i too find myself awe-struck by such amazing feats of engineering, but don't forget that such excess will be our doom. civilization as we know it is based entirely on non-renewable resources, thus it is simple fact that our way of life is entirely unsustainable. the odd thing is, we humans, despite...

Sorry, you can yell at me all you want, but you are wrong. Profit is #1. Now, that may mean you want to keep a loyal customer base with focusing on bugs and crashes in your existing games so your future efforts will succeed i.e. Blizzard, but in reality all that is is profit one step removed. Of cou...

What a developer says is the top priority is irrelevant. The top priority is always profit. If that means customer retention via addressing crashing issues with an existing product, then it is indeed the top priority. If it is overcomming horrible release reviews by addressing the issues raised in s...

Look, EA hit a gold mine with the sims. The multiple sims expansion packs are very profitable and require much less energy to produce than a true sequel. Using that marketing model, it makes perfect sense to produce societies with the bare minimum of content required to satiate gamers and leave vast...

Auto-cast = genius. Its something that occured to me when I had like 6 office buildings and corporate hives. I pray to GOD this game will work after the patch. I am getting a new pc soon that has vista and a nvidia card. Since the graphical freeze hasn't been mentioned at all, I am still hopeful yet...

It might be helpful to include your standard resolution. Higher resolution can have a very significant effect on your graphics preformance. Each lcd monitor has an "ideal" resolution that you will be running in probably 99% of the time where as a CRT can change dramatically. I am upgrading my comput...

I can't stand the super neon on cyberpunk. Authoritarian looks really amazing when you get enough buildings with televisions on them. My favorite has got to be romantic though.

I voted romantic, but in reality I can't really get the game to work so maybe I should have voted that.

You're running Windows Vista. *Blech.* (Seriously, why don't people wait like, two years so that new OSs go through the paces and get raised or dumped according to how they perform? Get in line. BTW, the line is extremely long, and theres no one at the front of the line helping customers. Its obvious that BOTH EA and Tilted Mill were and are more concerned with the lackluster reviews of their games than making sure that it works as advertised on their box and website. Enjoy bas...

I am so disappointed

I am an avid fan of the game, and an active reader and poster on these forums. As such a fan, it is a grave disappointment that the patch did not fix my crashing errors. I was quite excited about the increased difficulty and new features, and they are great. Fact of the matter, though, is that I am ...

In that instance, I believe the S&L was created due to a severe lack of early game generation of prosperity in closed testing... So much so that unless you were doing a Free Play game where all buildings were unlocked, it would be very easy to get locked into a trailer park brewery/lumber mill type...
