absolutely true!

I think it is a "pain" when installing a game and not letting the user know that there is also a certain copy-protection being installed.

A bit hard to find but UN-installers for "Starforce" and "Securom" do exist! :D

Your system is XP prof so NO chance to get directX 10 in there. Dx10 is only for Vista.

Is there a reason why you don`t install sp3?

Your video-driver should be ok. Find out if any better when changing from 85Hz to 60Hz. You have 2 Sound Devices running the same time: Fast Track with driver from 8/3/2004 and Realtek HD Audio with driver from 1/23/2006. You certainly have a conflict there and ought to lay off one. You will most likely need to rearqange your Desktop icons to suit yourself and do so now
