You don't need much more farms for the added structures. You build the overseer and the laborers anyway, so leave them out. Shops support themselves. Only extra you have to feed is one priest, and pretending you don't need him if you build in your main city, one baker. As for the structure, as I sai...

What most seem to forget is that it is still more effective to have some of the workers wander off to the main city to celebrate a holiday or something than having *all* workers wander to their working site and back *every day*. And most wandering can be avoided as Tink said by just building enough ...

Just so you don't wonder: I haven't forgotten this scenario. It's just that my harddrive regularly decides to fry the dvd drive, and I have to wait to get a new one before I can play :(

Meanie! :p Papyrusmaker can now hold 50 reeds. Build them in your remote camps. I used to build them before also. There is no such thing as too far for resources. You're right. But I never had any difficulties with my priests if they have no papyrus. Truth is, I only build papyrusmakers when I need...

I, for one, like remote camps! :) I always build an apothecary and most of the time (unless the space is small or my camp will not be there forever) a hospital. Laborers tend to get hurt a lot. I also build 3-6 luxshops, depending how many elites live in my camp. If there are few raw materials out t...

First of all: If you don't have the space to place temples, build shrines instead. They will serve nearly as well as temples, but need much less space. Just keep them lit (=activated by priests). You don't need to place both for a single god. And as long as your city is not spread out over the map, ...

if people get their monument back from you, the last level would be knocked down again, so they'd have to build it up themselves. Since limestone isn't that expensive, few people would want the hassle. You can try to theaten other players, but it will not be perceived well. Maybe you will get avoide...

I never build tombs for my nobles. My bricks go for prestige. <ducking again> You know that tombs give prestige too, *and* make your nobles happy? I don't have my CotN here right now, but I think they are even cheaper than sphinxes: Small mastaba: 60 bricks, small sphinx: 75 bricks iirc, and I also...

1. Nobles placement: I always try to place 9 Nobles, Commander, Overseer, Palace plus 2 set of common shops, 1 of luxury, 3 servant shacks, together in one place. Why do you build commanders so early? Especially since you build the soldiers not before step 4? I think in the early game it is more im...

Chris you should have waited until you paid off all your loans, that way most of this would have been avoided.

Um, it waasn't Chris who announced his win, it was Tink who saw it first and didn't know it wasn't all payed yet. Chris clearly said he still had depts then.

Noone considering wall trades? They aren't listed either. @pantherX: I don't know about the profiles, but I can confirm that all records and even scrolls from deleted players dissappear. Maybe we should test this? Anyone going immortal soon and willing to sell me something/ buy something from me?
