Well, the cool thing is, you get an hour (54 min. actually) notice for every nome away the attack is coming, and 27 minutes when it comes from your own nome. Your message won't tell you that info, but with wireless laptops, iphone, and just getting your ass home, you could still have time to respond.

I am wondering then, if it is standard internet maintenance, why does the standard internet maintenance affect only the TM site and no other sites? How could it be a DNS refresh when they didn't change their DNS? (Or did they?) Hey, I don't know *everything*. I just know that by using the changes I...

I've been asked by several people "what the hell are you doing that you're so far ahead of me", so I thought I'd share some thoughts on my strategy for Theoris. I'm pretty sure all these things have already been mentioned. 1. Most important is run bread deficits. Making bread is a very inefficient u...

I'm pretty sure this was a dns refresh that started last night. I was logged onto Theoris and my friends said Sabah was down, so i went over to Sabah (i got there ok) and then couldn't get back to Theoris. After I manually entered the DNS in my Hosts file, I was able to connect to both again. DNS ba...

See, i'm not seeing market deadness where I'm at. In fact, I have 4 pages of market logs just from yesterday when I sold nearly 250,000 bread worth of stuff. None of it below opportunity cost. Now, that doesn't mean that I also haven't see the severe shortages of cedar and emeralds. Good thing for m...

I have 2 scarabs left, and planning for city 3, so I'll be purchasing before then. I'm torn though. I know I can play the "whole game" for the 25-pack, but I'd really like a few extras, but not enough to get 60. So I'm thinking they need to add another pricepoint with a 40 scarab pack.

Email Notification

I'm working on setting up a forward from my gmail account to my cell phone so my phone rings when I get messages. I'm wondering if anyone is using the email notification and can tell me the email address/domain that email comes from.

TIA

Reed, I *am* seeing the drop in bread. I'm actually starting to *lose* bread at about 500 per hour in a city with 965 pop, and 314 idle workers.

Because I had 1428 wheat in sabah it would have taken too long to test it - so I put 1400 wheta on the market @ 5 to ake sure nobdy bought it and took all 319 men out of the wheat - and within a few seconds I got the message: » [3:15 pm] The Ghetto needs more wheat to continue production! I have wa...

Your attempts to demonize players you "assume" are using the exploit is misguided and wrong. You can't blame someone for doing something the game allows. You can't even call it cheating and maintain any shred of credibility. You can, however, join the Tinkerbell Fanboy Choir. Just look at it as anot...

Multis are already against the rules. There doesn't need any new rule for them, if this is happening, then banning the ones that have multi accounts is the solution. There is a very fine line here though. We're talking about the difference between two people, and one person pretending they are two ...

First, I have to kill Tinkerbell for making me defend him. Stop that! afaik - the market 'exploit' is not used much at all by many people at all and for only a few of those few peoples' trades.... it isn't as serious and nowhere near as detrimental to the game for everybody as some would have you be...

Reed, can the extended timeout be increased to like 4 hours instead of 40 minutes ? After being subbed, 40 minutes isn't worth the scarabs.

This has got to be one of the stupidest things I've seen on the internet, and I swear, I've seen some really stupid stuff. First, what the hell are you afraid of? The benefit to having two brickworks is it's cheaper to upgrade 2 than it is to upgrade 1 because you don't have to upgrade 2 as far as you would have to upgrade just one to make the same number of bricks. As for using the plot for something else... not every city has to have both a potter and a bas...

Finished off two nomes with bandits the past two days.

I see it as the old citybuilding money-maker of exporting weapons. The return is very good for what goes in. You just have to be able to balance your weapons exports with everything else your city wants to be doing.

More bandits please!
