Well it could be that girls play as guys to avoid the aforementioned cyb0r requests. I'd also point out that theres a difference between the gender of the character and the way the character behaves, as any. For example, if I roll a healer/support type theres a fair chance I'll make it female, since...

That's far from a proper insult. Which would read something along the lines of: "Ultimately MMORPGs are games for people who lack the goods, if you know what I mean. Instead of being badass like Rambo they're all about talking, a task that women have spent the last 4,000 years perfecting instead of ...

Yeah, this should probably be fixed to return them to capital city or something if a monument gets captured before a monument shipment gets to it. I just lost half the mighty bear cavalry as a result of doing some military logistics.

Not to worry though, theres 1500 more where those came from. :D

Dear Baphomet, I am glad that my bears have found someone to love them the way they should. I must confess, I had grown apart from them and in my search for love I found lust. Their worst fears were true, I had found some other bears. I should warn you though, friend to friend, that my old love can ...

Maybe there is simply no form of "slow" browser-game based PvP that is actually fun. Unfortunately this may be right. Hell, I'd generalize it further and say that as a rule any venue that allows highly customizable stats like MMOGs and such will have lame PvP because those with the best stuff will ...

Nonsense! We all know there's no womens on the internets, so how could this study possibly be accurate? In all seriousness though, I'd love to know how they verified the gender of the participants. Anyone whos played MMOs for any length of time knows a lot of 'girls' are really guys looking t...

Now in order to defend against a double wave of 750 that person would have needed at least 1000 troops eating 24k of bread a day. Not exactly very viable even in the short term. Precisely. I am using theatricality and exaggeration to illustrate the failings of the combat system in a very public way...

Heheheheh, I has a sphinx :D And I'm nonsub too. So much for the vaunted monument bonus, 750 vs 220 and he barely scratched my army. I was really expecting at least two waves for successful takeover. Heck, that was just a fraction of my total with an equal number of additional troops an hour behind....

The first waves will be landing in a couple of hours, hopefully this will be the public primetime entertainment I had hoped for. By the way, it seems I lied about the nome range. See, my second target turns out to not be who I thought he was, in fact I have no idea who he is, so unfortunately I have...

Heh, what we have here is pretty tame. Go somewhere like SA.com or gamefaqs to get an idea of what is in store for us when the masses show up. :p

Barracks cap and/or higher upkeep wouldn't really do anything. Cap wont do jack to a determined raider since he'll have large barracks to build his army anyway (IIRC level 10 barracks would have capacity for 230 soldiers, 3 barracks per city). And more upkeep would just make it even harder than it a...

Obviously we will need lots more mods once it goes to release and we have 10x as many posters, but seems a bit premature to set anything like that up until were a lot closer to launch.

But theres a difference between having to log in to manage your cities, and dealing with tedious button-clicking that can and should be abstracted. So I agree with auto monument shipments, saves the hassle of having to deal with lump sums all the time. Plus it cuts down on the chances of noobing up ...

Disclosure seems fair. As I see it, theres two things that can happen: 1. Reed reveals everything. Everyone figures out how to game the system, we discuss it, unbalancing stuff gets fixed that otherwise might not. Everyone wins. 2. Reed keeps it all secret, but the spreadsheet nerds figure it out an...

Originally I was going to hit him and Reed, but sadly they're just too far away from my military center. :(

I might throw the remants at him when I run outta food though, just for style points.

My advice would be to start it when palace upgrades start getting expensive enough that third city starts looking like an attractive alternative. Unless you and everyone in your region is short some resource, in which case it might make sense to push for third city to supply said resource.
