Yeah, I've seen lux sold for less than the cost of the raws to make it. Interesting idea but it would probably be a rarely used option.

That's possible but never noticed it. But if you have ten or less ships then you may not have 1000 (or 901) required to get then ships out in one pack. But if you send them individually, you only have to spare 10 of something(s). :)

I discounted war and specific plot upgrades because these tend to be in spurts and less frequent individually than palace upgrades (nothing I have is at L22 except palace, warehouse, wheat and bakery). You are correct in that their are additional uses for raw mats. I was thinking more along the line...

If I am a major seller for a product and have spare bread, I nave often bought the small undercutters and resold them at a profit. :) The only risk is to watch and be sure it is just small undercutters and not a drop in the overall market. :)

Putting up a nuy order at the prevailing rate means they can't see the prevailing rate because their market isn't developed enough. Otherwise just buy what's already there! Save buy orders for when you have time to wait for someone who wants to dump some excess without putting up a listing that will...

The spreadsheet has a temple tab with cool down times to 150. The difference between cool down times (say from 1500 to 1000) should be the time required to drop between those levels. It does not take rounding into account, but should be good enough for "Nile government purposes". :)

Any city with 10 or less ships should probably send one wheat per ship out on the off chance of catching 8 jewels. I rarely bothered but it can happen. Beyond that I am not even convinced time is the problem as ships are not cheap and back when I tracked it the value of ships lost often exceeded the...

No clue what prices are like in your area or how much you are trying to charge. You may have to drop prices just to get bread. Of course the other approach is to grow your own. Until your cities start to max out that should be doable. It takes a while to collect all that bread. You may want to consi...

I don't think it is practical to get bread from direct trade. It can be done of course, but not that many will trade bread because of the boat count if nothing else.

Interesting observation, given that except for limestone and cedar, the only use for raw mats is to make lux goods. :) I understand, as I like to keep my shops busy as well, but it is an interesting observation that people would rather put in more labor to end up with the same thing. Kind of points ...

Why, so he can deprive the others of that share of the bounty from defeating them? Bah. Wave bye bye to the departing troops and replace them with your own so you can get the reward.

Don't think I've seen anyone mention yet: did you have the temple bonus and then lose it? Because you bake bread faster with the bonus but eat at the same rate, so the bonus raises bread production. Although, I guess that doesn't really account for such a large loss... for my L15 city the temple pr...

I've taken to selling cedar for 3 in lots of 6k. At least it saves me from overstocking. Every now and then someone preparing to go immortal gets a sudden thirst for cedar. ;) I am probably screwing myself as they would buy my 1k lots at 4, but oh well.

And if, for instance you run out of imported emeralds in a gold city, you have some laborers in the gold mine, but are running a gold deficit, your stocks of gold will increase. You are only wasting the labor in the jewelry shop. They are sitting there eating your bread, but have nothing to do, bec...

Bronze sells in spurts. Most of the time it stinks. Cedar can make ships and leather is used in upgrades to barracks, so they are a little more consistent (particularly leather) but bronze is feast or famine. It is interesting though when you see someone buy a bunch of bronze at once. I check to see...
