Tilted Mill has a long, looooooong history of people using walls to exploit pathing algs. Caesar3's standard solution was to create The Corridors of Death --a long mazy pathway doubling back and forth over the map with ballistaes firing away the entire path. A rational person wouldn't say, "Hey, the...

Shouldn't take that much waiting. Don't know if upgrading your house the first level helps him appear more often, also.

Hmm... so I could go for iron early, get the Smith and Armorer, then research, as a Crafty-Turtle option.

Will have to see what weapons/armor result from that.

Screen shake == Critical Hits?

I've noticed the screen shaking from time to time. One theory is this is for critical hits. Would this be critical hits BY my party members, or critical hits, TO my characters?

I've been able to one craftman to a level where he could research. Didn't use it much though. I just set him to making money instead. I think it was because of the level of his equipment, not his combat level, that he got to research. He had an +8 sword for some reason, and wanted to research as a r...

Unable to chase out low level farmers, herders

I got my fame to where level 10 farmers were showing up. Great! I'll just chase out those level 1 bozo farmers and replace them with these level 10 guys to go out adventuring with. Except you can't. The button to tell them to leave the city is missing on Plantations. Also there seems to be no way to...

Would that mean you're required to have him along as a member of your party to fulfill the quest?

I like the Barbaric weapons. A +12 attack -2 defense fast bow is actually quite useful while the rest of the party keeps enemies away from him. Cursed items... meh. Found them boring in nethack, don't think this would be any different. And random effects just make it more confusing to understand wha...

>Best solution would be that people gained levels slowly at home. Disagree here. Turn off raiders and let the game run overnight. Look! Everyone's level 10,000! The idea that people gain experience just by sitting at home and never going out into the world would be a big comfort to 35 year olds stil...

Fortune Teller ignores wands in auto-equip

In the 10/10 update, the Fortune Teller ignores wands in auto-equip mode. Instead prefers meaty double handed swords, taking away the cool lightning bolt ability.

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, depending on the strength of bolts vs other hand weapons.

Deleting fartherest North Building

If your farthest North building is a watchtower, the message to delete it is off screen on the Town screen ("T"). Instead wander over with your character in normal mode and click the base. You will get a "Delete Y/N" message here. Of course, if guards could just move directly into watchtowers, you w...

Tell me about it. My herbs are currently guarded by baddies on the far, far edge. I didn't even know there were 6 yellow dot areas before this.

[EDIT: The ability to purchase herbs at your home added in the update fixes this.]

It is possible that there isn't anything living in an empty area NOT because they're being chased off by Godzilla at every turn, but because there isn't enough food from lower down the food chain to support a top level predator in that region. I strongly suggest reading http://www.amazon.com/Why-Big...

Hunting Lodge, Watchtower

After the resident of a Watchtower or Hunting Lodge dies, when a new replacement of the same class comes to town, they cannot be selected to fill the existing building. Instead you have to demolish the old building, select the new person, then upgrade their building to the higher type.

AoE3 called these nuggets. They're a rewards for scouting out the map early. What would really encourage us to explore is if the raiders started going after the nuggets and removing them from the map. Probably after an initial timeout (5 raids on our village?) to go exploring, you'd get two raiding ...

Not sure the AI placement is smart enough for close quarters. Members of my party already get stuck frequently on fences and other outjuts as I run by.

Having a mine with pits where character fall off to their death would be really annoying.

Hmm. Yes, all corpses don't fade away until you take the last item from their inventory. And since each corpse has six slots, I can just put a rusty dagger in one slot to preserve it and use the other five for storage. Yes. I like your way of thinking a lot! Yellow on mini-map for unlooted bodies?

I'm playing a large game and had bad luck trying to get a Goodsman so I could get an Inn and then get a Merchant. I advertised, and advertised, and advertised. So eventually I had every slot in town and myself filled waiting for a Merchant to show up, and was unable to fully loot some bodies (no spa...

I'll pass on the dinosaurs. What we'd more typically see in wilderness is: A Gypsy trader that buys and sells things from her wagon. AoE3 style nuggets. Which the treasure chests already are. (Adding guardians for nuggets though... wouldn't that just make it another area to be cleared on the TAB map...
