He speaks from all orfices ... with no shame ... sometimes you love him ... sometimes you despise him ... but truly no hidden a...

I suspect the vast majority of Tilted Mill/Impressions fans .... (the Caesar I - III/Pharaoh/Cleopatra/Zeus/Poseidon/Emperor/CoTN/Caesar4 fans) also have a long dignified history with SimCity. Most of us played SimCity Classic and SimCity 2k... some even enjoyed 3 & 4 ... Some of us have a history w...

Reverse engineering of a game will end up with the folks involved being in Federal court sued for trademark violation and EULA violations. Very likely the court would issue a "cease and desist" order. It's called stealing of intellectual property the developed game code  Correct... Couldn't ha...

So if the game (SimCity Societies) sells like beer on the saturday before SuperBowl Sunday ... It will be considered SimCity 5...

If sales are less than acceptable ... Another game will be built by Maxis or Tilted Mill and that will be called SimCity 5.

Uhm... was it it that I cheat? That I'm duplicating the city I live in with SC4? Or that I mangled how I said it to imply I'm actually living within a SimCity? Oh dear... does that mean if I don't play SC:5, I'll cease to exist? Now THAT is one heck of an incentive to play a computer game! "Buy thi...

Ohhh, I loved SimCity Classic ... and SC 2K The later versions ... were far more an architect / city services supervisor role... In other words ... annoyingly boring. SimCity Societies ... just seems the perfect rejuvenation for the series. It is aimed at a far broader fanbase than the obsesive nitp...

So ... to be blunt ... SimCity creator Will Wright wants to see the game return to its honest roots. Now we get to see it reborn in a 3-D matrix, but with the fun of the game's original intent. Admittedly, some changes (pipes and power grids are history) but evolution has cast off its bastard childr...

I hope this fresh, better direction for the SimCity franchise comes to full fruition. The past two incarnations of SimCity were not to my taste. They lacked the freedom of SimCityClassic and SimCity2000. As to the over-emphasis on micromanagement ... ugh ... On the plus side, the excellent user buil...

I can't say I'm terribly keen on the mixing of old and new buildings. I enjoy building cities with structures that I'd see in real life. Just as disasters are a useless feature (IMO) I ignored, I will do the same with historic/futuristic tilesets. Have you ever been to a city more than 50 years old...

I've been sporadically playing the King's Quest compilation for a few months now. Very much an exercise in nostalgia. Enjoyable trying to find the easter eggs one first found in the 1980's (was it really that long ago?) Along with the aforementioned KQ, SQ, PQ ... Sierra has also re-released the Lei...
