India and southeast Asia are a dream of mine. SO many religions, languages, peoples in the region that are just similar enough and just different enough to make it fascinating.

My game runs alright in DOS mode, I just can't install that Caesar Bucks. Is it possible that the missing file was part of the C2 installation? If so I'll just re-install it. It says the .exe file (or one of its components) is missing, so I'm thinking I'm missing part of the download maybe. EDIT: I ...

Thanks. It's not running correctly, though, it's missing something with a DLL tag, perhaps if I downloaded it directly from your site? It's missing "VBRUN300.DLL". Do you know who programmed it?

My question concerns Caesar II. Yep, way back! Is there any way to mod this game? I've never been able to win it, and I'd like to see what modding can do, but I don't know if it's even possible.

How about a game that mixed elements from both CotN and C4? I felt C4 moved faster, which I liked, but after a while the city-building got dull, since you were always building with the same things. No monuments or newer technological/religious developments to make things more interesting. Ultimately...

Earthquakes!

Stupid, stupid, stupid earthquakes!!! I'm stuck in the first tier Empire level (Argos and Vinimacium). Just when everything's going smoothly, I get hit with an earthquake which completely annihilates my city. Whatever buildings aren't destroyed right off the bat are killed a few moments later as nea...

How do I post a savegame? Can I use a photo-hosting service like Photobucket? And I'm sorry if I sound sore, I've just been on this level since an hour after I got the game and this is about my third or fourth incarnation of it. And it's like Bexgames said - it just goes on and on and on and on and ...

I'm beginning to think that this level cannot possibly be completed. It has to be done with means that are impossible given the extent of gameplay allowed. The closest I ever got to getting a 50 Prosperity rating was when I tore down every single last Insula I had and just let the domi and villi sta...

No, security rate does not matter, but the house needs to be completely encircled (except for rivers etc.), so every road needs a gate and you must be careful not to leave gaps.

I'd hate to insult the makers of the game but that's just downright rediculous.

Well, my favor is fantastic, and there's plenty of food. The plebs are leaving because the equites are leaving. They're just packing up and heading to the end of the map and disappearing. Money is okay, think generally low to mid hundreds, not millions but not in debt either. I tried building a wall...

I got it at Gamestop yesterday. Pulled in just as the UPS truck was pulling out. Had to pull a few teeth inside to get them to open the shipping box and get it out for me (which I did with more than a little guilt, remembering my intense hatred of customers who whine "But can't you check and see if ...

Stupid, stupid equites!!! I raised their wages up to 48 and they're still not happy. They keep moving out in droves, and because they keep going there's no services to provide! Everything was nice and happy before, now I keep getting "vacant - too little entertainment" on my domi. Well, maybe there'...

So I guess most shipments and orders arrive around noon, if my spywork in this forum serves me....... That means I have still one more hour to get dressed (hey, I'm off today), go to Gamestop, and harrass the staff for a copy of Caesar IV. This is Fenton, MO central time. I wonder what I should do w...

Gamestop says they'll be carrying it tomorrow, depending on when they get a "shipment" in.

I don't know if they're giving me a story while it sits in the back, or if they are actually waiting for a shipment tomorrow. But Sep 27 beats Sep 28.

Yeah, I'm beginning to wonder if the Best Buy guys just didn't feel like replacing the pre-order boxes with the real ones when I asked.

But they did show me that Sep 28 date on a real BB website, so......

I should just go up to work and grab one out of the back.

September 28???

I went to Best Buy today, just to pick up Caesar IV, and they told me that it wasn't being released until Thursday. I asked if any other place would have it, and they said no, not until Thursday. Did anyone get it today?

I've always had a deep-seated hatred of watching sports. Even when I got the extra-special luxury suite-seats at ball games. (I mean, I always had to share them with people I don't know! If I pay for a room, I want it to be private, dang it!) But a while ago real Japanese sumo wrestling was on TV an...

Out of all of Sierra's city-builders, I loved Pharaoh's music the most. Zeus had nice music, too, kind of like New Agey happy music. Caesar III's music changed only depending on how big your city was so I found that pretty boring, but the quality of the different songs if not the variety was good. E...
