Ok, looks like it was a 'pause to reform' thing. Still, some odd behaviour all around. They were non-calvary this time, and I kept my cohort from attacking them. The attached pics show what this group of enemy did. It was pretty funny. :D If I continue to see such oddness, I'd say it's just bad AI. ...

Didn't have a save game there, so I kept playing. They haven't yet appeared on the riverside (East) again, so can't tell from that angle. They were actually attacking the wall a bit later. Or at least, it looked like it...waving their little arms and stuff. I'm not sure I have a save game close to that point; I'll check later and see if I can reproduce it.

Were these open holes in the wall or the little pits like from trees and those stupid guards that fall off the gethouse or tower? Open holes in the wall - see attached pic. I had basically won the scenerio (suprisingly, considering the sprawling mess of my city) and was just holding off on the cult...

Just wanted to say thanks too...I was also disappointed with most of the 'sandbox' maps, and I'm finding the editor rather useless for my limited, ah, editing skills and patience. :D Roma looks like a peach, even if you can't build quite everything.

I was playing Narbo, and had about half my housing center walled in. Big gaps all around, don't ask. The barbarians came, showing up across the river from a wall section, and instead of going through the wall gaps to attack housing or whatever, they instead attacked...the wall itself. They stood rig...
