I got a beta invite
My Beta invite just got here and I just finished the tutorial. It looks like some kids game and the graphics seem a bit fuzzy. The options do not let me change resolutions although it you will be able to in the final version (presumably) I played with the graphic settings a bit but could not make th...

I have to get a new machine a bit like you just did, but one major supplier can offer a choice of Win8 versions, or Win 7 versions. A good general rule of thumb regarding new machines. If {your getting something with a touchscreen} then {get Windows 8} else {get Windows 7} MS will be supporting Win...

I always enjoyed the way that The Sims let you build and decorate. Plenty of options and everything paint-able in both detailed and bulk modes. I have always hoped someone would make a good mod tool to customized specific buildings. Not everyone wants to fuss with total customization but it sure add...

Agreed, GoG is great, GoG is good! it's like GoG is one of us. I am a collector, I have somewhere around 1000 games with Boxes, Manuals, CD's, Disc's or Floppies. I will admit I have gotten rid of a few Cartridge and Cassette games, afterall the Vic 20 stopped working after it was introduced to a ca...

Hey Keith, congrats on finally getting a new machine! You should really get a better internet security program, Norton is not the excellent program it used to be. NOD32 is good and catches more malware than Norton. I believe they are similarly priced but even for free I wouldn't run Norton or McAfee...

Hey guys, I think I remember reading that your going to have MM be 2D. Having just finished Zeus again I have some observations. Is your going to restrict to the isometric view a few points.. Let us zoom in and out. Find some way to define map edges so I don't have to rotate to be able to see an edg...

On the military... I am one of the few that prefers to not bother with military. I just played through Zeus again and paid off the invaders every time rather than bother with a battle. There were 2 times I had not the money so I had to fight and won both times with ease. Building up for The Trojan W...

wow, that's a lot of hours of thought in the last few messages. And probably only just touches the major problems. :D I like most everyone end up doing the same old thing of finding a housing block that fits the most housing in a defined area. This does lend it's self to cookie cutter cities and as ...

I just went and looked at the current videos. It really does look a lot like SC:Societies with beefed up graphics. I'm not sure I like the zoning aspects but perhaps that will be offset by the customization of the other buildings and the multi-city aspects looks interesting. Just a little over 3 mon...

Let's see... I was playing Imperium Romanium, finished it for the 3rd time. So I played some Sim City Societies. I can't figure out who I paid for destinations so just playing the Vanilla game. Just re-bought Zeus/Poseidon and playing now (5th or 6th time through) Next will be Pharaoh/Cleopatra for ...

But is it possible that Tilted Mill Entertainment is well aware of this and is reserving us a nice surprise when It comes to the matter? I certainly hope so! One of the things mentioned in the interview was the evolution of your city. Bring on the Peons picks with shovels to dig those new pathways!...

You know it's tempting to buy the bundle from GoG just to support the cause. I own them all already and just pulled out SC:S again. Wish I could find a No-CD patch, my older files do not work anymore. It must be due to some patch or version conflict. Edit. lol I installed Zeus thought I would...

How about no roads?
The Hexagonal city grid thread got me thinking that MM may be the perfect time to eliminate residential roads. I suppose a road could be made to facilitate horse and cart movements, kind of like a major thoroughfare through the city. I like the idea of not needing to place paths. That way you create...
