I have always been amazed at the loopholes people find. Cheats and exploits will always exist and it's up to the hackers to find them. The few times I have found an obvious cheat and used it it has basically ruined my game. While it is a ton of fun to play like a god at first, once the euphoria is g...

So far it seems that all CB games have struggled with this topic. I usually am able to figure out whats needed to maximize my output. For me it's just another aspect of figuring out the most efficient way to play. The only one that ever really got me was Emperor because the "market cart" would go on...

So saying you want to emulate a medieval city without basic defensive elements is a bit confusing :/ Nope, what was said is that it's not about warfare or building towers and castles. There are plenty of games out there that focus on those aspects. What I expect TM to do is what they usually do. Th...

One of the funnest ways to play SCS was without roads. I even made one city that used roads but no intersections, auto travel was fast and then they walked into the next area.

Once you stop donating the cost will start to decrease, I bet you could find a post around here somewhere that had some great details. I have no ideas about the timing.

I used to donate 50% and would wait till others donated or the price dropped to accept what was there.

Another issue is if your after sandals and your local shop is out, you may walk to town to get some sandals there. But then usually by time you walked all the way to town you missed a days work and the vendor happens to be out by then anyways. Off to go protest!

I would only hope that the PC version does not have to be dumbed down because there will be a future tablet version. Is tablet version more about gameplay with simple graphics while the PC exploits awesome graphic capabilities? I don't play many games on my tablets they are usually just for browsing...

Man I love all of these ideas and every one leads me on to more great ideas. I think there should be both types of walkers. Like the later games everyone has to go buy their goods but there may be a need for delivery walkers also. /flash-to: Monty Python-Bring out your dead! :D It's going to be an i...

Yep I look forward to working in a single city over time rather than many cities. It was always quite fun in SCS to use one of the disasters and basically wipe out one culture and replace it with another. There is a lot of yummy goodness in the interview text and released information. One thing I fe...

New SimCity

Hey everyone EA announced a new SimCity. Direct from E3 http://e3.gamespot.com/press-conference/ea-e3/ Looks pretty cool and I'm happy to see it's a real builder not a zoning sim. If this is not TM's current project then at least it is influenced highly by SCS. I know I'm looking forward to it.

Yep CCR was fun to play but didn't hold me for very long. I still enjoy all the TM CB games and if I had to pick a best of genre it would be CoTN. All other games so far have been trying to reach that nirvana. I was actually thinking of pulling out some old favorites and having a Pharaoh / Zeus week...

Hey all, I do not recall if it has been mentioned in this thread but I found a game I really enjoy playing. Imperium Romanum from Kalypso Media, quite fun, simple and easy CB'ing with just a little warfare. It's really not super challenging with a few exceptions and every scenario is pretty easy to ...
