Tink... You can draw trees on concrete. I do it all the time. The concrete will wipe out a tree, though. Now, click and drag tree fields do, indeed, wipe out my concrete, but I've single-placed plenty of trees right in concrete textures (my present authoritarian city has several trees growing out of...

So Jeff...what are the odds of seeing something like that finding its way back into the game? lol It'd sure help to line up driveways of houses and businesses built on a hill/hillside. Right now, I almost never build one on a hill because the roads hug hills a bit too much now. heh Something like 2 ...

The game runs fine for the majority who are using "newer, supported" hardware. Almost never does a game company "dumb down" a game's graphics engine to support older EOL'ed cards. At that, even older unsupported cards can many times render them if you kick the textures up enough in settings, but thi...

Thank you. :)

Well, I've actually taken to panning high and angling from the map corner. If you fiddle with it just right, it'll work.

I do agree that I wish we could pull the camera past the map edge, though.

If you go into your preferences, click the "Game" radio button at top, and set camera to "Free". That's the best yer gonna get. But if you look at the SS thread, I've gotten some pretty righteous shots with that setting.

Airports and seaports are a definite must somewhere down the line. Can't really make a large, bustling city without 'em. ;) You forgot highways... and railroads. ;) Edit: I jest, of course. I think that the good folk at TM know, by now, how much we want detailed transportation options, airports, an...

I've had the urge to buy SC4+RH and CL:WE... I had SC1, 2, 3, and played 4 on a friend's computer. I dunno...Though 3 was missing a lot, it still felt "fun". SC4 sucked the fun out of the game and made it more of an advanced landscape architect's wet dream and less SimCity. RH, I hear, brought some ...

It works for me...partially. The author noted that there was a problem with the bump graphic, so it doesn't light up at night, I don't think. However, daytime view, it works great by default. So does the GameStop mod...except he's got a broken "ambient" image... the night images are of a lighted but...

Thats what I'm saying though Khanon, that brings it right back up to taking up 4 tiles (2 for road, plus one empty/painted on each side). I think the reason a lot of people want the lower lane roads is because that is too wide for a lot of high density or small town areas. As far as 3 lanes each wa...

hehe I'm agreeing and disagreeing at the same time. From the "proper play" aspect of it (proper play as far as I'm concerned is at least semi-realistic development, not plop-spamming units) the S&L and the Bank are fine, as is... However, in light of people likely, in some cases, using them to "spam...

The Longhall is actually in the game. I've not unlocked it in normal play yet. The others, they were not included, after all, for various reasons that I myself don't know at this time. They can of course be created, or recreated, if they are built almost from scratch. There's examples of other custo...
