If that be the case, then they should start posting sales for less than 3k. New players cant deal with that sized offering.

I sell in Sabah in 100 unit lots. Lots of people do.

New Players don't need a handout & neither does anyone else. They just need honest gameplay experience & game mechanics help. You wanna help a New Player? Tell them to build boats & trade like crazy!

If I need less than is being offered, I'll either
1. Post a buy order for what I need at the price being offered.
2. Scroll the person listing the goods and ask to trade for what I have or bread if I have the ships.

People have been very nice about helping new players (even those who just restarted).

I don't give handouts to anyone, but I will trade everything I have incredibly cheap for bread. Helps new and experienced players and my stockpile of bread slowly increases. Everybody wins.

(and then Tink accuses me of somehow cheating)

I'm wondering what the logic behind placing new people is... I'm out on the frontier with 1 or 2 people per nome and yet I see that Nome 5S has several players who started on April 7th or 8th.... as if they need more players in the center nomes. We could use a few more out in the 350+ nomes.

Actually, if you sell incredibly cheap you are hurting new players, cuz they feel they have to compete with your low prices. If you sell in large lot sizes, that would be better with low prices.

BUT at the same time the ability to buy more cheaply makes up for it.

What does Ye Olde Tinker Rulebook say?

I may get there, but for now most of my raw goes for 4 or higher - the market standard around my area. Don't do much goods as I can make everything I need and it keeps the population busy.

That is not cheating. Not even close.

Try harder.
