I'm wondering if this is the case as I have three villagers all producing +2 food and if I have a tavern owner I often get messages that someone leaves because they were starving and I have (for example) only 7 days to live!
Having two visitors in town would account for the dwindling supplies but I didn't see this explicitly spelled out anywhere. |

Visitors don't eat food.
Are you playing as an orc lord? Orcs eat double food. |

Thanks for the reply. No. I'm just playing as an elven archer. I'm a first time player so I will go back and verify that I'm producing what I think I'm producing (all followers are in town and not accompanying me while I go 'adventuring'.)

You can get starvation events if you don't have at least a day of food stored.
The villagers get their food ration first thing in the morning, but they don't deliver any food they produce until later in the day. So if you use say 10 food a day and only have 7 stored you can hit trouble. |

Thanks. I never realized that. In the meantime, I've gotten further into my game and food is no longer an issue.
Gold, yes; food, not at present ;-) |

Why were the visitors horrified? Its not like everyday you get to see a bear eat a monkey.

I am tempted to lift the ban.
![]() I mean, Bear eating Monkeys sounds like something I might want to see. It is like a "Get Fuzzy" comic strip episode gone horribly wrong. No- I will not lift the ban, but I will make it permanent. edit- Woops- Monkey eating Bears I meant to say- but heck, Bear eating Monkeys is even better! |
