Wow... you are obviously getting good at this. Sadly... I'm *still* stuck on Caralis....

What was the finished population Keith? Very artistic.

Here is my very unartistic city. I keep building (or trying to build) single service cities. I think the population requirement on this scenario was 1500. Does anyone finish these with a minimum population? In the end I find it takes too many plebs and equites to satisfy the other requirements.

I spent five game years and built a city of 2960 using a single aqueduct. I keep thinking I will go back and decorate when I have more funds but I never do.

I like to build so I usually finish with at least 2500 people every city, if not more or if it is not required higher population.

I supplied a population of 4500 on a single fountain and resevoir.. It's much more effective than wasting space building 2

Generally don't build for beauty sake or art, but rather efficiency. Beautification usually comes after all else for me.

Put in a forum to help your estates evolve and improve city security.

I usually end up with a larger population that required by most scenarios. Here are the ratings and victory summary screens from Corinth.

Of course I did include a save game file of the city above, made after the point where the victory message appeared in case people want to poke around the city themselves.

I have the 1.1 patch installed and I've seen on report that the unpatched game won't load saves from games with the patch.

Smile Nice!

It looks great, Keith. I'm still on that one. I restarted it because I was trying to make it more efficient. I've got great favor but I can't get my culture number up. I've got all the entertainment cookin' but the culture never budges! Any suggestions?
And Bex, I'm way over 1500 people; about 2900 and the advisor is still screaming for more!

Cat
PS Thank the gods that I'm playing and off that bloody ship rowing!

culture requires religion, education, entertainment, justice and health care. Check your overlays and see what you are missing. Also be sure you have enough equites to fill all these buildings.

Smile Mansions

Keith, again you didn't upgrade villa to highest possible level ...but not much can be done without tear down a large section of your 'artwork',so only 3 mansions.

Another strange thing I've noticed was,the villa besides the large temple kept devolving/leave as vacant whenever it has residents.

I have just finished Corinth. I always seem to be getting the Success screen before getting round to putting up my walls. (Happened in Caralis and now again in Corinth).

Anyway here are some screen shots.
